Owner description: The home of the Jacob's Creek wine is located in the heart of Australia's most famous wine region, the Barossa Valley. Our home offers a memorable culinary tourism experience with a tempting combination of food and wine and sweeping views of vineyards and hills. The stunning building features benchmark environmental design, based on principles of sustainability, recycling and energy conservation. Come and try our great wines with a casual or structured wine tasting, learn about the regions history or enjoy a lunch at Our Table. Our food is inspired by the region and each dish represent something growing in our garden on the banks of the creek. Spend some time visiting our vineyard of 14 different grapes varieties (all in one place!) to learn more about how wine is made, take a walk through the picturesque grounds which are home to a wealth of native flora and fauna along the banks of Jacob's Creek or simply enjoy the views from the deck surrounded by the native Australian plant garden. The home of Jacob's Creek has been recognised as a leading wine tourism site and was entered into the South Australian Tourism Hall of Fame in 2010 for winning Best Major Tourist Attraction three years in a row.

First off our meal was Devine, it really was a lovely meal. And the entree was so nice, that really was a meal on its own.
The other part of this is we ordered a Scoopon we arrived 10 mins late to be told sorry you only booked a table of 4 but it was a table of 6 my friend called and doubled it up with a email to confirm weeks earlier so we had to wait half an hour for our table to ready.
The food really was excellent, the blonde older lady was very attentive and got our wine really quickly and popped our order in fast. The kitchen was a little bit slow but there were a few tables plus it was a long weekend.
If you had drove all that way and arrived I would have been a bit disappointed that it was that busy as we struggled to be served the wine tasting menu as the guy was flat out and it took a while to get some tasting, not his fault just how busy it was.
But he was very informative much better service than we received last time.
You would have also been disappointed if you wanted a meal in their restaurant however the sign did say “we are fully booked”, but they were less than full, half the tables inside were full and the outside area (where we were) was only us and a couple. Could do with a friendly manager or maître D.
I would have given it a good but the new garden area is really nice and lovely so they get the extra mark.

Hi!

There are a lot of places today charging for tastings and we do offer a free alternative where you can pick any four wines of choice and try them complimentary. I am very sad to hear you did not have an enjoyable experience with us and we will take your feedback on board.

Large gardens which you can see clearly from the tasting rooms. You can easily visit this winery with kids, let them run around outside while you taste. Very friendly staff, and a good range of wines to taste.

We were hosted by Cheryl and Adam who provided their expertise during our tasting. We rode to the jacobs Creek winery via the bike track - a great way to make the half way mark!

They made us feel very comfortable and relaxed, even though it was getting busy with other tasters - the lunch time rush! We ended up sampling 12 on their wine list and ended up purchasing a bottle on our return journey from Lyndoch!

Very informative and professional, highly recommended stop!

Thank J t

We only did the 'wine tasting' here and I'd suggest finding another place nearby with better wines and a better experience. Having said that, the tasting is free, the wine is ok and the view is good. I'm just sure there are better places.
