Well Maintained Resort @ the Bank of Kabini the cottages are clean, well maintained and the food is good and staff are very friendly. The Safari's Water and Land is the best part of the vacation. Water Safari taken by Motor boat drives you around 30 kms and the Land Safari into the Jungles are by Jeeps.

All cottages face the River Its advised to at least stay for 2 Nights so that you are relaxed and get 4 safari rides which means of sure sighting of rare wild animals like Tigers , Leopards, Wild Dogs etc.

Room Tip: All Cottages face River so no real choice to be made. Tents are newly constructed and looks very goo...

My husband had taken me to Kabini for my last birthday and totally loved this place. This place has a nice modern touch and yet the rustic touch. If you want a flavour of the wild at a decent budget and more so a good safari ride with a chance to see elephants, sambha deers, leopards, this place is for you. The food is quite good and homely. The staff is absolutely excellent and very supportive. They ensure that they looks into all your requirements at the earliest and are extremel polite. The jungle safari drivers and host company are very knowledgable of the area and ensure that you have a good safari (if your lucky to view a leopard or tiger). Overall, a fun experience and best done just after the monsoons as thats when all the animals are out and move towards the water body. Ensure that you do both the water and the jungle safari to get the best out of the safaris.

We stayed in this resort for two days and we thoroughly enjoyed it. From the time we reached their reception, the treatment was personalized. We were late as we did not knew the road specially the last 10-12 km was really bad. Despite that the restaurant staff waited for our lunch. Then they ensured that we get the safari ride which was at 3:45, within 15-20 minutes of our arrival. From that point on the staff and facility won our hearts. The rooms were clean and all the things like towels, tea/coffee, toilets etc. was nothing less that any star hotel. There was no need for AC even in summer time. Campus maps were detailed, program was well coordinated and attention was very personal. Food was excellent with ample variety and quantity. Above all the safaris were good. The guides were well informed and the routes both on land and water were long enough to give us full experience of the nature reserve. Since we stayed for two days we could enjoy the jeep safaris three times and we chose to take only one boat ride. Saw most of the animals in the resort, except a glimpse of leopard from distance. Many a bird variety. Only sore point of the trip was the roads around the facility. They were even worse than the dirt tracks in the forest and full of pot holes and to add a humor element they had few speed breakers. Off course this was not part of the lodge but since this being a government facility, expecting decent roads is a fair demand.

Room Tip: We stayed in rooms and they were good, clean. Estimate 40-45 minutes for the last 10-12 km drive whi...

Having had a bad experience recently at a really upmarket resort in Goa and written about it, I realized that good experiences need to be wrote about and commended too. This is why i decided to write about a trip that I made last year and will not forget for a long time

I stayed along with my wife at Jungle Lodges Kabini for 3 days and two nights in a tented cottage.

Jungle Lodges Kabini is one of those places where hospitality comes naturally to the employees. From the service staff at the resort to the guides on your safaris, everyone goes out of the way to ensure that you have a good time. We did not spot a tiger in our safari the first two days and when we told the guide about it, they arranged a special for us seeing our enthusiasm for the wild.

There are so many activities lined up, so much to do, so many places to walk around that you will feel that there was more to do when you leave. You will run out of camera battery trying to photograph the entire place. Everything about the jungle is simply fantastic and a learning experience.

The food at the buffet is not very elaborate but value for money. The bar is well stocked and the bar tender there makes for a very good conversation.

Room Tip: Choose a room close to the river
