We stayed here 3 nights and felt like valued customers throughout. They went the extra mile to ensure we were comfortable and that we were enjoying our stay. We enjoyed the food and the resort itself is the best on the island in terms of location by far. We can say the because we explored every part of the island accessible by scooter.
The manager even arranged for me to have access to a satellite television to ensure I could watch the England game during the Euro football competition. It's the little things. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the staff on the front desk spoke excellent English which made logistics smooth.

Thank you Koh Kum Resort!

Our room had amazing sea views and although it rained for most of our short visit, it was still relaxing watching the big waves from the comfort of our balcony. We had the small beach to ourselves during the dry sunny hours of our stay (beach is only accessible at low tide). The pool was much smaller than had originally thought from the photos but still had lovely sea views. Staff were very helpful arranging transfers between the pier and the resort. This location is suitable for those who really want to get away from it all!

Room tip: Worth paying the extra to have a room with fridge.

The resort itself locate in the local island (Jum island) ,quiet island with less tourist activity. Good for people who need quiet space for relax.
About 30 min from airport to Laem Kruat pier and 40 min by daily boat and 15 min to the resort. The road is still under develop so a bit dangerous in the dark or raining.

All the bungalows is no air condition ( they said they are going to install some of them this year) however our room (Bamboo) is facing the sea with a comfortable windy air.
And at night only electrical fan is just fine. Because it the old bamboo cable in tropical zone so you definitely facing bugs problem in the room and bed (but we found it really normal to have it in Thailand isn’t it? However prepare for it) but not so much mosquito at night (May2016 ) that’s really surprise me.

Bamboo room is no TV but the canvas bed on the balcony with sea view is better than TV.(But if you need it choose Teak villa)
Toilet is simple. Swimming pool is small ( I use it because of the big wave at the sea). Restaurant is good, we really enjoy the food here.
Massage is ok ( It is including in our package) Staffs are friendly and helpful.

Beach is good with rocks but still ok to swim. Sea is not clear as I have imagine for normal southern part of Thailand

The location is good and everybody was friendly. But the service was really bad. Further, we were treated like second class guests, because we booked at a well known internet portal and paid much less, than others who booked directly at the resort. After 2 nights we were moved to a different room, had to wait 40 minutes for toast and eggs while others arrived later and got their food within 10 minutes, the Wifi password was changed every other day and we always had to ask to get the new one. The food was ok, but compared to other local restaurants below average.

Room tip: Teak villa at beach front. Bamboo hut is really poor and overprized.

Accommodation: We had a cottage, very simple, that's what we wanted. With uninterrupted views of the sea from out lovely little veranda/balcony. We had 2 deck chairs & a table on there so we could soak it all up whilst having a lovely cocktail. Found the bed super large and super comfortable. Room cleaned every day :-)
Food: Was good, variety was good as I travelled with a 9 year old boy, so was a little worried but they catered to him very well.
Staff: SUPER LOVELY STAFF....... Always smiling, helpful and happy I couldn't have asked for more - perfect! - Brilliant with my son too!

Best bit is the fact you are sandwiched between a beautiful view of the Phi Phi Islands (1hr Boat ride - Long Tail) and a jungle with monkeys (Super sweet, no trouble)and there and eagles above you.

We are already planning gout return for Easter Next Year!

Room tip: All rooms face the sea - but if you want a front row view ask for just that. All the pictures are true to form.
