This was a lovely place to stay. Gilles, the manager/host, was very welcoming and friendly. We had a room on the 1st floor (2nd floor US), with a nice view on 2 sides. The room was tastefully decorated and comfortable, with 2 comfy chairs, a Nespresso machine, a large bathroom, and a very comfortable bed. There were a few other guests, but we never saw or heard anyone. Breakfast was included and was delicious, with scrambled eggs, assorted breads and pastries, coffee, fresh squeezed juice, and yogurt. A tour of the winery is included, but we were unable to do it the day we stayed, so we came back another day and enjoyed the tour and tasting very much.

We would definitely go back. It is a convenient location for visiting the chateaux in Saint Estephe and feels more like a home than a hotel.

Room Tip: There is no elevator, so if climbing stairs is an issue, they have rooms on the ground floor.

Beautiful (and spacious) rooms in an even more beautiful house. Half-way between a B&B and a boutique hotel. The staff is very welcoming and always happy to help, and can arrange wine tours for you not only in Chateau Ormes de Pez but in other nearby chateaux.
We really enjoyed our stay there and would come back without hesitation next time we are in the region.

Traveling with another couple, we arrived to Ormes de Pez and was greeted warmly by Gilles who was very helpful with booking a wine tasting the next day and a fabulous dinner at Le Saint Julien that night! Our rooms were on the 1st floor with large windows opening to the beautiful gardens out back. The rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable! Gilles set us up on the patio out back with a bottle of wine from their estate and we enjoyed a wonderful view and great tasting wine before departing for dinner! Our breakfast the next morning was perfect! We hated to leave and will plan another stay if ever in the Bourdeaux region again!

We stayed here for three nights as part of our road trip in France and stayed in the Amelie room (superior room). Absolutely loved our stay. Room was spacious and beautifully decorated with a lovely view to the grounds. Having a big lounge and TV room was also really good for relaxing after a day of vineyard visits. We used the bikes to cycle around which was super fun. Gilles was very helpful in arranging visits and restaurant bookings. For one of the nights we went to a restaurant that wasn't on Gilles' recommendation list - big mistake! We found out at the end of our trip that he could also do home made dinners! We also visited the vineyard and tried some of the wines (including a tasting of Lynch-Bages 2011). We bought a bottle of Ormes de Pez 2005 which was delicious. All in all a truly fab visit and we would love to return.
