“Perfection”
Reviewed 9 November 2016 for a stay in September 2016

We had a wonderful stay at Farm Coach House. The place was spacious, clean and very comfortable. It was also the perfect location to visit Blarney Castle, Cork, Killarney, Kilkenney, the Ring of Kerry and Dingle.

Alyce, the owner, is a gracious and welcoming host, who had some provisions waiting for us, which was greatly appreciated after our long trip.

I can't say enough about this property, its location, or the people who own/run it. Highly recommended!!!

“Feel at home”
Reviewed 6 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Whilst having everything you want in a hotel the welcome here makes you feel at home. The house is lovingly furnished and equipped with everything you could wish for. Alyce and Michael are very friendly and their knowledge of the area makes staying here good for sightseeing as well!

“A perfect place to explore all of Ireland”

It was the perfect place to explore all of Ireland. Day trips out and back were just easy. I felt safe and secure and Alyce and Michael were the perfect hosts. They were excellent in recommending just incredible places that travel books didn't list. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Thank you Castle Oliver for one of my best vacations.

“If you had the luck to visit Ireland, you've had a great luck!”

Ireland is incredibly beautiful and charming country, which leaves in you bright and everlasting memories. To completely enjoy and feel 100% the spirit and scent of the Emerald Isle, one must know its inside. Castle Oliver Farm is perfect for this purpose. This is a wild, beautiful, incredibly quiet and peaceful place, located far from urban noise and bustle. On the other hand, it is very convenient to reach interesting and important places that one should not miss (Blarney Castle, Rock of Cashel, Cliffs of Moher, Killarney, Ring of Kerry, Cork and many others). All of them are located at 1 - 1.30h from Castle Oliver Farm. The farm itself is very well cared by the owners. It's clear that the houses and yards are maintained with love and care. We stayed in the house for 6 people and we were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness, comfort and its medieval spirit. It has everything one could need to feel completely comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped, the rooms are nicely furnished, there’s even a backyard with table and chairs. The owner, Alice, is the most sweet, smiling, responsive and well-disposed person. You can tell for sure that she is someone who’s really is interested in the guests’ comfort and well being during their stay. Normally the websites of guesthouses and hotels provide wonderful and powdered photos, but when you see the place in person it may not seem so nice. In Castle Oliver Farm this rule is quite the opposite. In fact, the place is much nicer than it appears in photos. If I ever come back to Ireland, I’ll for sure be staying there again.

“Home away from home!”

What a lovely property in an idyllic country setting! The house offered a well-appointed, comfortable and beautifully decorated base for our exploration of mid and southwestern Ireland. While staying at Castle Oliver Farm (with our 24-year old sonand our two daughters, who are 16 and 23), we traveled to Killarney National Park, the Rock of Cashel, Cahir Castle, Blarney Castle and Kinsale, most of which were within 1 to 1 1/2 hours drive of the Farm. The Coach House held us all comfortably and was a perfect space for unwinding each evening after a day of sightseeing--we particularly enjoyed the cozy fires in the living room stove! The owners, Michael and Alyce, take a great deal of pride in their property-- and rightly so: the furnishings are beautiful and the house is spotlessly clean and tidy. We will always remember Michaels and Alyice's warm hospitality and genuine Irish welcome--our meeting was brief, but we left feeling as though we were family. We couldn't recommend this property more highly!
