Leaving it a little last minute but knew where we wanted to go for our holiday, the Cotswolds is a favourite place to visit we have had two previous holidays in this beautiful part of the country and knew we wouldn't be disappointed.
Not ever been to Tibberton before we were a little cautious when we turned up, what a lovely little village ideally placed for many amazing walks and also well placed for a base to go from to explore the surrounding areas.
As we turned up at the coach house we were impressed what a lovely little cottage just right for two adults and a couple of Jack Russell's too, we were greeted by the husband who was very welcoming nothing to much trouble then we entered the front door where the bathroom and toilet are situated also a staircase leading to the first floor where there is an open plan kitchen/living room and the ample sized double bedroom, we continued to explore the cottage and noticed a lovely welcome basket full of goodies, what a lovely gesture we soon settled in and made ourselves comfortable ,it wasn't long till we lit up the log burner which is very efficient.
We had many walks with our dogs around the village and also explored the wider area too ,we finished the week with a hill walk in the Malvern hills dogs and owners exhausted but it was worth the effort.
We would highly recommend this holiday cottage to anyone considering a break in the lovely Cotswolds both are brilliant many thanks to Mandi and her husband for a great break.
What a lovely place! We stayed here whilst we had some work done to our house. A beautifully converted coach house with everything you could possibly need as a home from home. Lovely orchard to sit in in the evenings. Our dog was made to feel very welcome too! I will certainly recommend The Coach House!!
Booked as a surprise birthday getaway and everything about it was perfect. When we arrived the parking space we needed to use was clearly marked and as soon as we got out Mandi was there to greet us. She promised to be there if we needed her but to be quite honest everything you need to know about the accomodation and surrounding area is in a very informative folder and we didn`t find the need to trouble her at all. The welcome basket on the table was a lovely touch and there was also games books and dvds available. Found some lovely dog walks to do on the doorstep but also ventured into Gloucester which was an easy 15 minute drive away. All in all it was a fantastic break and I wouldn`t hesitate to book it again.
We stayed at the Coach House last week with our cockapoo Harry for a Winter break exploring the Cotswolds and local area.
We were met on arrival by the owner Mandi and pleased to find the apartment clean and warm and well equipped. Reading other reviews guests were almost unanimous in their satisfaction with the location and accommodation and we would not disagree with any of those views.
However one aspect of the property which seemed significant to us was not mentioned which we can only assume is a factor of our age and fitness. The accommodation is on the first floor reached by a steep narrow staircase with a sharp turn at the top. The toilet and bathroom are on the ground floor resulting in scary trips to the loo especially when you are half asleep.
If you’re young and/or fit and mobile please ignore my comments and enjoy this holiday let like so many others.
Unconnected with the accommodation itself, we should also add a word of caution to those bringing a dog. Check the hazards of Alabama Rot in the Forest of Dean - extremely rare but fatal.
This cottage was amazing realy great facilities everything you needed plus more
very compfortable, clean, and so warm we didnt even use the log burner which i was hoping to use !!
The booking process was easy and we were met on arrival great location with lots of public footpath walks especially with a dog.
Ideal for couples would recommend this and come back again
thank you for a brilliant stay
