Even though it is said tiger reserve forest; many of them done safari has not seen any tigers or leopards or rare wildlife. Hence we skipped.
Instead if you go from Ooty side by car, you can enjoy Nilgiri hills view + waterfalls and entering Bandipur forest area we have seen deers, elephants, peacocks, money, kingfishers.

this place has an amazing green landscape ......

Only one zone within BRT is open for safari and this zone has been overrun by wild lantana grass thereby making big wildlife sightings rare - we spotted deer (spotted and barking), mongoose, gaur (wild bison) but no elephants or tigers. However, the drive itself is great and the lush green forest gives you a great sense of calm and peace. Recommended.

One of the largest and popular National Tiger Reserve. The sanctuary offers variety of animals and birds, ideal for nature lovers. I would recommend taking government jungle safari (which can be booked online as well) and for morning trail during which spotting wild is probable.

BRT wildlife santuary is unique out of the forest which i visited. The road the forest is narrow with thick greens on both sides. so it is difficult to spot wildlife. During my trip, i was able to spot only few deer and wild boar. The traffic is very less with lots of bikers. Safari is available at scheduled timing and there is a resort in the centre where one an stay and enjoy the forest. Even if you are not staying, the drive through the forest itself is worthwhile.
