What a wonderful week we have just had. Spacious caravan, overlooking the hills with red squirrels visiting each day. We were not overlooked from other caravans.

This is a peaceful park, with lots of trees and offers plenty of your 'own space'. The staff are fantastic - pleasant and helpful.

Highly recommended if you want a peaceful place surrounded by nature. Not suitable if you want an on site watering hole. We liked it as there was not an on site bar etc. but enjoyed the two local pubs within a mile's short walk.

We are not into golf but there is a 9 hole par 3 golf course next door with cheap club hire.

If you like mountain biking, there is a World-Class 7 Stanes Mountain Biking Centre a short bike ride away (We did not bring our mountain bilkes - Aaaahhh!)

We came from 27 August to 3 September and will return.

Room Tip: The higher up the site the better if you like views (and can walk or drive up). Otherwise choose low...

We stayed in caravan A10, a bit sceptical at first being at a junction, however, this didn't prove to be an issue. The caravan was new and very well equipped with a lovely balcony and planting all around. This site is very well kept with fabulous views, wildlife and plots are private due to the lovely landscape and plants. My children enjoyed the adventure playground so everyone was happy, something for everyone as we particularly enjoyed the peace and quiet. This is possibly the best caravan site I've stayed on, love the area too and will definitely be returning.

Stayed in D11 and the photographs on the Coastal Kippford web site do not do this justice. When we were told this had 17 steps we were a little skeptical that my wife who uses crutches would struggle to gain access but this was unfounded. The caravan boasts central heating, double glazing and instead of the standard seats that fold out to make extra sleeping areas, there are 2 cream leather sofas which are perfect for relaxing on. We had the added amazing bonus of witnessing the feeding of 3 Red Squirrels from the comfort of the veranda and as these fed on the feeders left by the owners, the pictures we got were fabulous. The park itself is very quiet, no 'CLUBHOUSE' on site but this is perfect as it means the wildlife can flourish. 2 play parks for the kids to play on which whilst are very basic offer enough to keep the children amused whilst tea is being prepared but it isn't a long term place to play. There are laundry facilities on site which are coin operated. A truly fabulous place to get away from it all and relax, heartily recommend a stay at Coastal Kippford.

We were a party of 8 in a Boston lodge and we were not disappointed! It was gorgeous, immaculate and very spacious. We all had loads of room and had space to do our own thing. It wasn't overlooked due to the planting around the lodge. It had all equipment we needed and lots of storage. The decking area with views out to the country was a bonus. We would return and highly recommend the site. We had lots of very exhausting but lovely walks and admired the gardens. Lots of wildlife around too. Great base for seeing the sights of Dumfries and Galloway.

One of the most beautiful sites we have booked into with lovely planting throughout (Bellamy Butterfly Bar) and well maintained. Each Touring pitch seemed to be screened off by foliage from neighbours. Not too difficult walking into Kippford for the fit!
