Was taken here by a colleague and the food was absolutely fantastic. Would highly recommend sharing a meat platter to start. No English menu available but I was not surprised by this and as I am not a fussy eater my colleague ordered for me. Great atmosphere!

some italian local friends took us here, and I have to say it was a treat, we ordered platters of all the goose specialities, some beautiful, salamis, pate and foi gras .. all fantastic , followed by some exceptional risotto. by english standards it would look plain as it was just risotto with talegio cheese and ground grren pepper , but it was stunning, rich and moor-ish. , the cheese board is also excellent and guaranteed'd to pile on the pounds .

the menu is extensive and you will have a problem making your selection I guarantee you !

Head to the area behind the railway station for the best of regional tucker. There are all the goose specialities especially the salame di di duja, the fat-wrapped delicacy that is served with succulent fresh figs.
We tried one rissoto made with goose meat, another with creamy cheese and freshly ground green peppercorns. sometimes one can tire of goose, so we had the porcini alla Milanese, breaded wild mushrooms that are sauteed delicately.
save some room for a slice of gorgonzola before advancing to the home-made desserts.... chestnut cake for me and a terrific cake of pears and mascarpone cheese for her.
We like this place. Its pleasant, simple decorations of stocks and bank-notes from the 1930s and 40s have a peculiar beauty of their own.

Well, the chef is good, the food is nice and I suggest to try plates with the tartufo when available; good wine list at bearable prices. Location and restaurant could definitely been better, but the food makes up for a come back.
