“A perfect retreat”

Willows barn is the perfect place to get away, relax and unwind. Everything in the barn has been thought about, from the hot tub to the roll top bath and complimentary wine, it certainly paints a romantic setting.
We stayed for 3 nights and found it the perfect Base to explore Framlingham and beyond. Suffolk offers so much to see and do. We visited Suffolk Hoo which was very interesting. Currently the castle in Framlingham is closed in the week, but the pretty town offers lots to do and some beautiful walks and places to eat and relax. A visit to Bury St Edmunds is a must and if your a fan of John Constable so visit Feltford.
If your looking for a romantic break Willows Barn ticks all the boxes.
Clear guidance is given by Rosalind before you arrive so you can make through most of not only the accommodation but places of interest.
The wood burning fire adds that extra touch of elegance and watching the sun goes down whilst sipping bubbles in the hot tub is a must!
All in all I can't fault the cottage, it's been decorated to a high standard throughout. The homemade cake left for us went down well too.
I 100% recommend a stay here.

Thankyou so much for such a perfect review. We are so pleased that you had such a lovely stay at Willows Barn and that you loved our complimentary wine and homebaked goodies. You visited lots of lovely places when you stayed, there is so much to do using Willows Barn as a base, whether its shopping, music, beaches, birds and wildlife, art, history etc. We provide lots of useful information when you make your booking regards what to do and visit and also how to make the most of Willows Barn itself and we are thrilled you found this useful. The hot tub, woodburner and the tennis court are great to use as well and our guests love these, so much so that many return several times a year and year after year! Yes, Framlingham Castle is closed during the week at the moment as English Heritage are installing new visitor facilities which will no doubt be lovely when completed. The views from the curtained walls are amazing and the walks around the Mere at the base of the castle are very tranquil yet evoke a wonderful sense of history. Please do come back anytime. Kind regards Rosalind and Kevin

“Great Place to stay”
Reviewed 28 December 2016 for a stay in December 2016

Stayed here for three nights for our Wedding Anniversary. Very clean and cosy accommodation which is tastefully decorated. It is in the countryside, so it's very quiet, although Framingham is only a five minute drive, where there is a small supermarket and a number of local shops. The property has a woodburner which we didn't use, it also has a hot tub which we did use, very relaxing after a day out. Couldn't fault the place at all, will definitely return.

Thankyou so much for your excellent review. We are very pleased that you had such a nice stay for your anniversary and that you would love to return to Willows Barn. You would be very welcome anytime. Hopefully it will be cold enough next stay for you to use the woodburner - we are always happy to show our guests how the woodburner works if they have not used one before, we also provide full instructions in a guest manual inside the barn. We look forward to welcoming you to Willows Barn again, many of our guests return year after year to the barn for short breaks and indeed fortnightly holidays. with kind regards Rosalind and Kevin.

“Perfect honeymoon”
Reviewed 19 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

We stayed here for a long weekend for our honeymoon, and it was perfect, from start to finish, it is kept to a high standard and it feels like your somewhere special. The area is so peaceful, but Framingham is a 5 minute car drive if you want to venture out, believe me though you hardly feel like moving when you are here as you have everything you need for a perfect relaxing break away. Everything has instructions if you want to use anything which is really helpful, as we used a log fire for the first time and needed the guidance. Although the owners live next door, you don't see them, but if you need them they are their to help, and are very friendly. I could write on and on about this place all day as everything about it was perfect. Really can't wait to revisit. A massive thank you again for the most perfect break away ever xxxx

Thankyou so much for such a heartfelt review - we are definitely blushing as it is so wonderful to read how our guests enjoy staying in our little bit of Suffolk. Kevin and I really enjoy keeping Willows Barn to a high standard as we know how precious holidays are to our guests and we think Willows Barn is a lovely holiday spot so it is reassuring that you loved it too and it would be our sincere pleasure to welcome you both back at anytime. Yes, we have made up a set of instructions to help our guests make their stay as easy as possible and we have a place for everything so the barn stays uncluttered and a treat to walk into every time. Yes, we stay pretty low key when we have guests and it is easy to do because the barn is so far away from our house that it really is in a world of its own, we are always happy to help out and are just a call or text away if our guests have a query. We look forward to having our past guests return and welcoming our new guests to Willows Barn. all our best to you both and thankyou again for the perfect review! Rosalind and Kevin

Stayed at Wiillows Barn a couple of times, it is a great place to relax and unwind after exploring the Suffolk countryside. Hot tub is a real treat, we are sure the tennis court is but yet to try it.

Thankyou so much for your thoughtful review. It was so lovely to have you back for your second visit to Willows Barn. We send out, prior to our guest visits, a useful set of Arrival details which guests can read at their leisure when preparing for their holiday and our guests tell us that this helps them unwind quickly on arrival at Willows Barn. The chilled bottle of wine in the fridge and homebaked yummies also helps! We have a very thorough changeover and maintenance routine at the barn to keep it at its best five star standard and we are thrilled that you enjoy the hot tub and surroundings. It would be our pleasure to welcome you back for your third visit to Willows Barn - maybe a little tennis even! With our best wishes, Rosalind and Kevin.

“Most Relaxing Break Ever”
Reviewed 16 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We've just returned from a most relaxing stay at Willows Barn and I can't praise Rosalind & Kevin highly enough.
The cleanliness and attention to detail in the barn is faultless. Anything we wanted or needed during our stay was there somewhere in one of the cupboards.
There was a bottle of wine in the fridge and cakes on the table when we got there ( very welcome after a 5 hour drive ) and Rosalind & Kevin had even left something special for us as we were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary.
The furniture was all beautiful ( the sofa was like sitting on a cloud ) and I loved the candy coloured décor of the kitchen.
The best part of our stay was the total privacy - We didn't even hear R&K coming to clean the hottub each day- and the wildlife.
I heard birdsong I've never heard before in my life, and we had a family of woodpeckers visiting every evening as well as little rabbits hopping around the tennis court.
Thanks for a fabulous relaxing break in a beautiful property.

We are so thrilled that you had such a wonderful time celebrating such a special occasion at Willows Barn. We love making our guests arrival relaxing and we always look for a nice wine from the Framlingham stores. We make a family recipe for our welcome "tiffin" that has been passed down the generations - a yummy treat for a sit down after a tiring drive. So glad you loved it. Yes, we seem to have the hot tub testing down to an art form now and we tend to pop out to do it very early in the morning so as not to disturb our guests during the day/evening. Glad you love the decor, inspiration was taken from the Royal Institute British Architecture palette of colours and the natural surroundings. The sofa is a John Lewis one and super comfy so glad you loved it. We try hard not to take the birdsong for granted but it is so special, they film Springwatch just up the road at Minsmere so we are lucky to have it on our doorstep. Thankyou so much for your wonderful review. It was our pleasure having you to stay. Rosalind and Kevin.
