We stayed at the resort on sept 5 and 6 as hurricane Irma was approaching. William and the other staff made us feel very safe making sure we were in the safest rooms in preparation for this event. We were able to use the pool and the beach but all the beach chairs and beach toys were fastened down or put away. The hotel welcomed guests from other hotels that had closed due to the hurricane. Our room was clean and nice but no balcony. Even after the hurricane had gone thru and the hotel lost power we continued to have light and tv and ac thru the hotels generator. The restaurant had great food, and Jamie prepared some good "pain killers" while we swam in the pool. I would love to return to the hotel under non-hurricane conditions so I could enjoy the resort experience at its best.
