When we arrived from our hike we had to wait for about 45mins (with many others) to have a room assigned. I think they may have overbooked that night as a few people didn't seem very pleased by the tone and looks of things. We were advised to sit in the restaurant for a drink until they were ready for us (1.5hours later). We were then taken by car about a 10min drive down the valley to restaurant with dorm rooms underneath and no amenities whatsoever. Thankfully we had our own room as there was a group of 14 that took the only other communal room. We shared a messy, cold, flooded, tiny basement bathroom with shower stalls. The unlucky last ones there, we only had a warm shower. There were nothing to do other than sit in the restaurant as there was no village and Gruben was a good 30+min walk uphill. The food was very good and we made friends with the large group so we were at least entertained for the evening. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. I would have considered this more a mountain cabane than a hotel.
