It's only a small attraction but, in my experience, it is unique. A natural aquarium where local marine creatures are seen in close up. Interesting history too.

We stumbled across Logan Fish pond after visiting Portpatrick & the Mull of Galloway. Its a fascinating place and it's great to see fish in their natural habitat. The staff are extremely friendly and encourage visitors to get involved by allowing us to feed the fish or pick up the hermit crabs etc so it would be great for kids too.

An absolutely fascinating insight into how an estate in the early 1800's has evolved through various ownerships into a most educational and natural sea life centre.
The variety of so many different species of fish being hand fed no more than touching distance away, not only took our breath away but that of our inquisitive dog as well!
We spent more than an hour with the charming owners and could easily have enjoyed more of Paddy's time but as other customers were approaching decided we will return for a second visit soon. Not before my wife caught sight of a lovely 'wall mounted planter' which will hang proudly in our garden, as a reminder of our trip to the Marine Centre.

Thank youbStephen for your kind words. It was a pleasure to have you, your partner and lovely pup here at the far famed Logan Fishpond marine life centre. We focus on the place, its history, the fish and other species and try to make it a mix of education and fun for everyone. Hope to see you again later in the year!

We visited Logan Fish Pond in September and loved the experience. The guy who showed us round was friendly and informative. He told us all about the history of the pond and the types of fish there. I’d definitely recommend a visit if you’re in the area
