Traveled with the company during the last 15 days of April. We toured almost the entire country, visiting Corcovado National Park in the South ( a fantastic 4 days package with a guided tour by boat to Cano Islands and a guided boat tour to La Sirena Ranger Station HIGHLY RECOMMNEDED !!! never seen so many animals in a trip EVER ! After Corcovado we went to Tortuguero National Park, which is similar somehow to Corcovado but has a different type of vegetation, wildlife and it is more like a swampy lowland rainforest area with many natural canals you can explore by boat. Also an incredible place to visit. During our time in Tortuguero, we took an extra trip by canoe or kayak to a smaller canal which boats cannot access. We saw caimans, egrets and river turtles, a sloth, two species of monkeys and what appeared to be a crocodile, although never got close enough to be sure. After two night in Tortuguero we went to Arenal and stayed at a local hotel with view of the volcano, although we never got to see the volcano, but we were told IT WAS THERE amidst the clouds. However, we did enjoy this region a lot too. We booked a canopy tour with Athica which was a lot of fun, plus I really enjoyed horseback riding after the zip lines which as included in our tour. After Arenal we were taken by boat through the lake to the cloud rainforest of Monte Verde. We satyed for two nights. We did the night tour, the bat tour, the Hanging Bridges and the guided trekking trip through the Santa Helena National Park. We got to see the paradise Bird and hear the sound of the Ave Campana. In Monteverde we particularly enjoyed the Hummingbird feeding station, that is a MUST while in Monteverde. After Monteverde we ended up staying 3 nights in Manuel Antonio at hotel California, a mid sized ocean view hotel. WE ENJOYED OUR STAY A LOT. The setting and location gives you lots of privacy. Although not that close to the beach and national park, it did not matter to us since we had a rental car for two days while in Manuel Antonio. We did not get to see Guanacaste Province, but hope we can go there and some other places we could not visit during our next year`s trip. Great service, we enjoy Costa Rica a lot. Thank you.
