Absolutely amazing, clear water. Plenty of fish to watch while snorkling, even just around the two bridges between the island and the mainland. Not sure if we visited on a particularly dead day, but there were hardly any people around. The view from - as well as towards - the island are also spectacular.
However, beware of the tiny streets leading inland on the island. They're all dead ends, and tend to get incredibly narrow, so you're faced with trying to reverse out, which is stressful, to put it mildly. I've lived in the SW of England, so I know country lanes, but these tiny streets are on a completely different level.
