We stayed at the Tokyu for a week and were very impressed with the service, rooms, location (ski shuttles stop right of the hotel) and breakfast. I definitely recommend taking the breakfast option upon booking as each day's fare is a large selection of Japanese-style options plus Western eggs, bacon, coffee, pastries etc. With little else available in the area, this breakfast sets you up for a day on the mountain. There are also two restaurants onsite (we tried the Japanese Manyo) that are good, if a little expensive.

The building has also been designed with skiing in mind - there's a separate entrance, your own gear locker, the option to hire equipment at the hotel, washing machines and drying rooms. There's also an Onsen which is perfect for tired muscles.

My only critique is that there were far too many rude Americans also staying there. But perhaps we noticed them because they insisted on being so loud.

Room tip: Breakfast is excellent!

We arrived at Hotel Tokyu on the 12th February, checked in a staff were great helped with baggage and explained the facilities that were available, after breakfast a medical emergency occurred with a member of our group, could not praise the management and staff enough for their assistance, at the end of the day we shipped out our un well friend back home. The facilities were great, would recommend this Hotel to any person or family looking for a classy hotel

Room tip: Ensure you request a room that can have two three quarter beds fit comfortable.

In all honesty, not humongous rooms but exceptionally big given Japanese standards. Spent my 2016 ski holiday in Hakuba and put up at this hotel. The hotel's design is dated but very well maintained. Charmingly tucked in a corner of the Hakuba valley amidst the woods, but just a 5min can ride from the heart of village. The hotel bar isn't fantastic but I must make special mention on the Japanese restaurant within the hotel. Very high quality eats. Absolutely delicious. Hotel too has a nice onsen to soak in to rest your body after a day out on the slopes. I'd love to re-visit the Hakuba slopes in the near future and will definitely again choose to stay in Hakuba Tokyu Hotel.

This very nice luxury hotel very well situated, and very good bfast both japanese and western style also very nice onsen in hotel(both outside and inside) but the hotel like Hakuba it self have lost the japanese soul to much influences of australia and france

The facility is quite old. Reception staffs are very friendly and helpful. English and mandarin is not a problem. Room is clean and provide all amenities you need but nothing close to luxury. It becomes quite crowded when we add a third bed. The offer ski rental inside the hotel which make life for skiers much easier. However, if you are a keen skier and is looking for better equipment, there is one just 5 minutes walk. The onsen is quite nice. If you do not ski, it will be quite boring. The nearest convenient store is at least 30 minutes walk. Well you can join the local tour to spend your day. There are shuttle bus to take you to e slopes so skiing is easy.
