We have finished 7 days, 8 nights at this hotel. Mostly Australian families with an occasional Japanese.

The room was great but I think we had the best. So dont know what the cheaper rooms were like. Our room had a small kitchen but there was 5000yen deposit for utensils.

Cleaned every two days which great because my son is very messy.

Breakfast is from 7.30 to 8.30 and was Continental plus a cooked plate (no choice).

Staff were extremely helpful and their English is good. The lounge has a fire and is great for chatting with other guests or relaxing/warming up.

There is a traditional Onsen and a free massage chair which is useful for tired limbs.

Located right on the slopes. 150 metres uphill to Evergreen ski school. 50 metres downhill to the Gondola. Plus two short lifts straight opposite.

Would stay here again.

We got a room for a family of four adults. It is spacious, clean and the beds are comfortable. The decor in the hotel is somewhat dated and there is limited seating in the entry foyer, so interaction with other guests is not promoted. The staff are all very pleasant and friendly. Select staff speak good English and are very helpful. The breakfast is adequate with a hot egg plus extras option, as well as cereal and fruit salad. The food provided for breakfast and optional dinner is all Western, which disappointed us. We would have been enticed to have dinner at the hotel if it was Japanese food. The onsen is smallish but adequate. Ski lockers are provided. A more effective clothes dryer would have been good. Overall though, the hotel is perfectly adequate.

Nice simple, well furnished rooms at a good location only 50 meters from happo one ski hills. Nice service And Nice cooked breakfest free. Bathroom could be alittle larger but clean and functional. Great for those who prefer a quiet place to come home to.

The rooms are tiny, as are the bathrooms, but all in all this a neat and comfortable place to stay.

It is only a short walk up or down to two of the Happo-One lifts and the pickup point for the transfer bus to the other fields is also not far away.

Breakfast was included in our package and this certainly is a must if you're not Japanese and don't want a takeaway breakfast from Lawsons or Seicomart etc.

The staff are very friendly and always willing to give you a hand or make enquiries for you over the phone.

Just four minutes walk from the Happo-one Gondola (ski lift), Hotel Moegi is a great base for exploring the snow resorts around Hakuba. Very friendly and helpful staff, full hot breakfasts, small but comfortable rooms, spotlessly clean, ski storage and locker room is heated (your boots will dry overnight), public bath (town water, not spring water) in the onsen tradition with views out through the snow-covered forest. Washing machines (2) in the ski room, and a dryer provided at very low cost (washing free, drying 150 yen per load). Easy 5 - 10 minute walk to the village restaurants, convenience store, ski hire shops, etc. Very "village" feel. The hotel picked us up from the Happo bus terminal (10 minutes walking distance) on arrival and also dropped us off there on our departure. Free WiFi in the hotel and throughout the village will allow you to work with emails, social media, etc, but has limited bandwidth for general web browsing. Phone reception for 3G data is good.
