I can’t imagine staying a week at this site, but it’s great for a weekend getaway. On site is uncrowded beach (half of which is dog friendly), an interesting rock formation leading to the lake and a great trail system that follows along the outer limits of the park. It’s a very relaxing, quiet getaway that appears to be clear of the party scene. We’ve already visited twice in 2013, and will likely be back for another visit next summer.

As newer campers (trailer camping, not tents), we made our first trip to Inverhuron last Thanksgiving weekend. We liked it so much that we went back last weekend. The site we had (site 63 in Gunn Point campground) is beautiful and private, surrounded by trees. Both in the fall and in June, we were unable to see our neighbours through the trees. There is a lovely trail through the park. There is a nice sandy beach and also a rocky area, which is really cool to check out. Because we have a trailer, we didn't need to use the washrooms, but I did check out the one nearest to our site and it was newish and very clean. The park is located close to Kincardine, so it's about 10 minutes to the grocery store, restaurants and their beach. We'll be going back again and again.

Year round access on foot. I've been there to walk the trails throughout the year. It's quiet, located next to Lake Huron and has lots of parking. You can also visit the nearby village of Inverhuron and walk along the beach into the park.

This park had great trails and beaches. The privacy of the sites weren't always good and one of the bathrooms we stayed away from because it was more dirty. A smaller park so there wasn't ALOT to do but still a beautiful park and was a great stay :) Would recommend to anyone.

We've been as a young family of five to many provincial park in southern Ontario and for the ages of our children 7, 5, and 2, this is our favorite park. Most of the campsites are fully wooded tothe point where you cannot even see your neighbors, the treeS are thick and lots of conifers block out everything. The site are sand and gravel but still great for tents. There are lot is RVs here, but we are still happy in our big tent! Washrooms are big and clean, like most prov parks. The shoreline is so cool!! We loved it...thee is a huge rocky shoreline where the water comes over rocky ledges and it is great fun for the kids to explore!! Then ther is a fairly large sandy beach, to me it is a small version of he piney, it is long enough that it is not crowded (keep inimd that Inverhuron is a relatively small park with two campgrounds around 100 sites each) and it is beautiful sand shallow sand bars forever!!
We love it here and will be going back for our third time next summer :)
