The Stadler is a 4 star hotel located right on the shore of lake Attersee.
We were shown to our room an arrival and also a garage that was free of charge for our motorcycle.
The room was large with a king size bed, refrigerator and a bathroom with a full sized bath with a shower above the bath. The room had a balcony with chairs and a deck chair and had a view of the lake passed another part of the hotel. The room was in the eaves of the hotel this meant that there was limited headroom at the sides of the room.
The half board offer included a four course evening meal of salad, soup, main course and dessert with a choice of main course. The food was good Austrian cooking. Breakfasts were good with freshly cooked eggs and very over cooked bacon and sausages plus all the usual meats and cheeses. There was a wide range of delicious breads to choose from.
There was also a terrace over looking the lake where meals could be taken but the weather was not good enough whist we were there.
There was a comprehensive but expensive wine list.
The garden by the lake was well equipped with Sun loungers and umbrellas and steps into the lake for the brave people who ventured in after a sauna.
There were a number of walks from the hotel.
We hope to stay again in the future.

The hospitality and the location are already reasons to come. Add to these reasons the amenities, the lovely breakfast, the hotel grounds, and lake itself you will find yourself already thinking of the next trip to the hotel. Don`t think twice. Book an extended weekend and enjoy biking, boating or just basking in the sun.

Room tip: Even if you do not get a room with a view to the lake it will still be an enjoyable stay.

We were here overnight on a long trip. This was the most delightful break! We will definitely return for a longer stay. The hotel offers everything you could ask for, first and foremost the incredibly beautiful location, right on the shore of the lake. everything is at your disposition: boats, bicycles, you can get active here! If you like to relax, the garden is beautifully furnished. Our room was clean, spacious, tastefully furnished and decorated. What a find!

Room tip: You should book ahead, this is a popular place and we were very lucky to get a room just passing through

The two days our family spent at this family-run hotel were filled with light, beauty and happiness. The location right on the Attersee, the lake where Gustav Klimt found artistic inspiration during the summers of 1900 - 1916, is incredibly beautiful. When you open your windows, the air is alive with birdsong. When you lie on the deck chairs next to the rushing stream on the "Liegenwiese", the waterscape is a shimmering interplay of duck egg blue and turquoise paintbrush water. One morning my husband and I took the paddle boat (free of charge, as are the canoes) out to the middle of the lake, lay in the sun and watched swans sipping their heads into the green reflections of trees along the shore. Harmony. Perfection.

The service we received from the Stadler family was kind and attentive. Breakfasts were very generous and the freshly squeezed orange juice was a winner. Our lake-facing room was cleaned meticulously every day.

Thanks, Familie Stadler, for giving us a chance to experience a glimpse of Klimt's Belle Époque. We hope to return one day.

Could not be happier with Hotel Seegasthof Stadler. The views are breath-taking, the rooms are clean, spacious and very well decorated. The hotel has been in the family for five generations and it is obvious that the family continuously invests in keeping it up-to-date. We were amazed when we saw how nice it is...feels like a brand new hotel. The family takes great pride in outstanding customer service always greeting us with a smile and desire to meet our needs. There were so many hotel choices in this area and many top-rated hotels did not have any recent reviews. We are so happy to have chosen this one. The food is excellent in the restaurant including the free breakfast.
