I was introduced to Daniela Cestelli, the owner of Fattoria di Montefiridolfi through a close, long-time friend from Firenze when I asked his assistance in securing a Tuscan country house for a photo shoot of a female acquaintance of mine. The day before the shoot, our party visited Montefiridolfi and were introduced to Daniela and her companion who graciously showed us her ancient stone dwelling. The locale was perfect.

The next day, we arrived for the photo shoot and, to break the ice with the photographer who'd driven up from Rome for the session, we all had an extraordinary al fresco lunch with Montefiridolfi wines served beneath the trees. I departed immediately after lunch so that the photo shoot could proceed, but I have fond memories of those few moments at Daniela's table... perhaps the most endearing moments of that trip to Tuscany.

Based on those few moments, without reservation, I recommend a stop at Montefiridolfi.

We were in vacation with my girlfriend and we were looking for a nice place to taste different wine. First, we we looking for a castle but all the visit were during the morning. And on our way, we saw this little familial place compared to the other castles. We decided to enter and we had directly a very good welcome of the daughter of the house, very very nice. We tasted 3 good wine ( 1 white and 2 red ), with delicious bruschetta. For each wine, we had a small but very clear explication. In our opinion, the wine taste very good. We left with a bottle of wine. Thank you so much to this family for the welcome. I suggest this place to everyone!

Warmly welcomed by the owners we enjoyed fabulous home cooking with local products and tasting of home produced organic wines. Everything pure and simply delicious, topped off with a grappa. Wonderful people, delicious food and excellent wines. Truly a taste of heaven on Earth!

Driving through Chianti, we were lucky enough to come across this gem! We were warmly greeted by Daniella who took us through a complementary tasting and even provided us with a little antipasto plate. She ran us through the beautiful wines and spent time explaining the history of the wines and their names.

Couldn't have been happier with the experience. The hospitality was absolutely fantastic.

We will hopefully be back back soon.

Unforgettable experience at this exquisite fattoria nestled in hills of the Chianti region. The host and hostess were wonderfully welcoming and gracious. As I sipped wine under the shade of the olive trees, I learned about the land and their efforts at producing high quality wines and distinctive olive oil. The wine selection is perfect. The land will embrace you. You will not want to leave...
