This was our first food experience in Milford when we stopped for a quick sandwich lunch on our day of arrival. We liked it enough to return once more for lunch and for dinner on the last evening of our break. The pub has a welcoming ‘buzz’ and is popular with locals and visitors alike, has a good selection of ales and a menu and specials boards with a range of food which in our experience was all well-prepared, tasty and nicely presented. At weekends it is certainly wise to book and the variety of tables and areas offer the opportunity to pre-select where you will sit. Service can be a bit slower at the busiest of times but we found the food worth the wait. We would definitely return when in the area. We also visited the sister pub, the Hare and Hounds at Sway and also had an enjoyable experience there.
