“Fabulous old cottage in a superb location”

We...4 of us & 2 dogs, had a brilliant week at Palmers cottage. It is an old, quaint property, extremely well equipped,& comfortable. The garden terrace is beautiful, although not enclosed,so the dogs had to be tethered...however this did not effect the joy of a Pimms in the evening.
There is a lovely dog walk just around the corner, for morning walks...& the seaside,& forests are under an hours drive away.
Swaffham is only a 10min drive down the road,& has big supermarkets, little shops & friendly pubs. The pub in Castle Acre, itself, is friendly- good beer, but the food was too expensive for us.

We were not very pleased when we found out that the some one had been in the cottage while we were out to store some furniture in the second bedroom. We had hired the cottage for the week and they shouldn't have come in without us being there

“Charming Location”

An interesting cottage and location. Excellent for many walks, and very quiet. We particularly enjoyed sitting out with a glass of wine in the evening looking at the lovely garden behind the cottage. The double bed was very comfortable and had an excellent ensuite shower . The single beds were quite small fortunately our daughter is not tall. We enjoyed our stay a great deal and found the kitchen well equipped. Had we stayed in during the evenings a more comfy sofa would have been great. Overall a great time.

“Lovely cottage in fantastic location”

We used the cottage as a base for walking Peddars Way as it is situated about half way along the route. The cottage was well equipped, everything was clean and tidy, and a well-filled folder provided instructions for the heating, hot water and electrical equipment. The breakfast basket and fresh flowers were a lovely touch as were the tea/coffee-making facilities in the main bedroom. The outside area at the back of the cottage was a real sun-trap and the garden furniture provided meant that we could take advantage of the lovely weather. There is ample parking for two cars although the entrance to the driveway is quite narrow and must be taken carefully. The village has lots to see and do: the castle and the priory are both worth a visit, and the pub does great food. We had a great week here and would have no hesitation in recommending this cottage.

“Absolutely perfect cottage in beautiful timeless village”

We met the owner, who couldn't do enough to make us feel comfortable and welcome. Everything that we needed was there, even down to tin foil! The cottage is well placed in the village, close to the Castle, village shop and the pub!
The open fire was easy to light and kept us very warm and cosy. This is not your normal holiday rental, where everything has just been bought with a rental in mind; there are many personal nik naks which make it very homely, even down to family paintings and ornaments. The property has loads of original features and is a real treat. There are gorgeous views to the rear and you can even see the Castle from the garden.
For those with large cars, you may find the entrance a bit tight, but manageable. Can't praise this enough and would recommend to anyone.
