Springwell Croft Cottages are in a great location overlooking Loch Linnhe. They are clean and quiet, a great place to relax. The seating and beds are comfortable and car parking is right outside the door. There are several good eating areas nearby and you are nicely placed for exploring the area. We love the place.

Fantastic accommodation! We stayed in this wonderful cottage (Oronsay) with family and friends at the beginning of May. Our trip was a Charity climb of Ben Nevis. The owners, Jim and Pauline were extremely helpful and friendly. We were pleasantly surprised with how spacious this cottage was. Everything was of a high standard. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Excellent spacious accommodation: well equipped kitchen with all crockery, pots, utensils needed; microwave, washing m/c, dishwasher; 2 bathrooms with 3rd extra toilet made this really easy for our group to stay. 3 new sofas & table seating 8 providing plenty of room. Stunning loch view from lounge & most of bedrooms. Would definitely stay here again if visiting this area.

Spent a lovely weekend here with friends - such a lovely place to relax. The cottage was well equipped and cosy, and had absolutely spectacular views out over the loch. We were able to go on some great walks/runs in the near vicinity, and also took the car to go a bit further, exploring Fort William and part of the Ben Nevis range. Would highly recommend!

Just back from staying in the Oronsay lodge at this tremendous location. It was my girlfriend’s birthday and travelled up for a mid-week break with her parents and kids, 8 of us in all.

First off, the view. Wow. Just wow. It’s such a perfect location, on the edge of Loch Linnhe looking down the loch towards Mull. At this time of year, the snow on the surrounding hills and mountains are gorgeous.

The group of houses are just off the main road, the A82. It’s up a steep little road to the houses from the road, 20 seconds in the car but far enough to stop the kids from heading anywhere near the traffic.

We were in the 4-bedroom Oransay, a very well kitted out house. It sleeps 8 with enough shared space to comfortably accommodate all in the shared living areas. 3 toilets, including an en-suite bathroom with shower, a sizeable shower room and a small toilet at the back door, meant that there was never any queues or clashes. A big dining table sat all 8 of us for meals. Lastly, a well kitted-out kitchen with dishwasher meant that there was room to cook and not worry about the washing up.

If there was any down-side, it was the bedding. The new owner has only had the keys since January, though, and whilst the mattresses had arrived and were in storage, he was waiting on the new beds, so I’ll forgive them that.

Location-wise, we were only 20 minutes from the Glencoe ski slopes and 20 minutes in the other direction from Fort William. Ideal. Ballachullish was a few minutes in the car and had a very decent Co-Op.

The owner was very accommodating when our numbers went from 7 to 8. Just let them know in advance and they’ll fit you in if they can.

We’ll absolutely be back and can’t wait to see the improvements that Jim, the new owner has planned.

Highly recommended.
