We stayed at the Fairway on Saturday night. We arrived around 3pm check in was ok and room seemed fine a little basic but you get what you pay for. We went into the pub for food shortly after checking in. The service at the bar was very slow and not the most welcoming and friendly. Upon ordering our food we were told that there was a 45min wait on food, we were ok with this as we weren't really pushed for time. After over an hour our food arrived and was luke warm. After waiting so long I was at least expecting a hot meal. No courtesy check was made really got the impression the staff really don't care.
After getting ready to go to a family party we met in the bar for a drink. There was a huge queue at the bar again a very long wait to be served , started with only 1 person serving 2 more appeared and didn't seem to care. Not once on our visit up to this point had we seen service with a smile.
The following morning breakfast was a disaster. After placing our order had tea/coffee / toast while we waited and waited and waited and waited some more. By which time no tea or coffee left. Nothing was topped up very well during service. We asked several times where our order was, and was told it's the next to be plated up. After waiting for over an hour we cancelled it and got a refund. Hotel ok shower was a bit dodgy to get to have a warm shower. Will never use the pub again never seen such bad service.

Very basic hotel
On arrival there was no one at reception and we had to stand ringing the bell for 15 minutes untill someone arrived
We had no milk in our room for coffee tea and the room was freezing as the heater was broken and also the tv didn't work (room37)
All the bathroom floor was bubbling as the bath had had a leak and this had not been fixed, we had to wait an hour and half for tea and then was told the grill was broke and so we got our money back and had to eat somewhere else, the next morning our breakfast took over 35 mins to arrive aswell and was having to ask for bread and cups and sugar etc as there were self service and all empty, was supposed to be a break away for us and was just stressful and disfunctional , I would not come back to this hotel again the holiday inn and Ibis down the road are a lot better

Visited here twice for food and on both occasions the food was poor, everything either microwaved or fried. Very expensive if not on the 2 for 1 deal. Had tuna that was barely edible, vegetables over cooked and beige. I would not recommend eating here!

The hotel rooms are fine, you get what you pay for! Comfy beds, lovely shower and a nice size. Was a bit noisy and as there was no phone in the room I couldn't call reception to complain at 3am! No hairdryer in the room either.

Check in was easy but they gave us no information about breakfast or anything! The room was average but the water in the bathroom was dangerously hot. The bed and pillows were soft and uncomfortable. The lighting was poor in relation to the mirrors making getting ready a bit difficult. Breakfast was missed due to not being told the hours so we ordered from the restaurant menu and the sausage sandwiches were poor - the meat was poor quality, the bread was dry (one slice was toasted and one wasn't), no butter and no choice of brown or white bread.

Been here a few times.. foods always been good . Service always good too. Food takes about the right amount of time to arrive and tastes good. Never had cause for complaint.. the 241 isn't the easiest to understand though
