I booked a room at the Castle Arms Inn as they were in the pet friendly guide and it seemed like my sort of place. I arrived in the worst of the December snow; I wasnt even sure if they would be open! I received a very warm welcome, the dog also, who was immediately given a bed by the fire and a few biscuits. A roaring log fire, and a perfect wintery setting. The food was superb, the Jennings ale excellent, and it was a lovely nights sleep, even though it was -10 outside!
And in the morning, even the dog got some sausages too!
This is definitely how a good english country Inn should be. I will (or should I say we!) staying again!
