We stayed here 2 nights on the 9th & 10th March 2012. We booked 2 rooms, one for our -selves & 1 Room for my Mum & her Partner. The bedrooms are tastefully furnished in groundfloor accommodation, set in a pretty pub courtyard. The rooms are lovely & quiet, and very clean & comfortable.
Sandra the owner makes everyone feel at home and ensures you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Nothing is too much trouble however small. The breakfast menu offers a huge choice from cereals, fruit ,& yoghurts to a Full English Breakfast. They cater very well for Vegetarians with a Full English Veggie Option which is really Scrummy!! The pub offers a lovely menu for evening meals which is fab if you don't want to go out in the evening.I have to say,all in all,we had a very pleasant stay & we would definately recommend this accomodation to anyone wishing to stay in this area of Yorkshire. This is one of Yorkshire's best kept secrets!!

Room Tip: All the rooms were lovely we booked rooms 4&5. they were lovely & quiet.

We stayed overnight on 29th October 2011. On arrival in the pub there was a coal fire burning in the main room, it was lovely and warm,as was the atmosphere. On handpump was Jennings and Breakspeare. Both were excellent. We dined in the restuarant in the evening, the food and service were fantastic. Our room was in the outbuildings at the rear up some stairs. It was a loveley beamed room with pine furniture, nice and clean with good hot drink equipment in the room.Breakfast was fantastic,my wife ( a vegetarian) said it was the best veggie breakfast she has ever had! Mine was faultless, possibly the best I've ever had as well. We will definately stay here again if we visit the area.

I was one of seven people who stayed for friday 14/10/11 and saturday 15/10/11 as a location for our kilimanjaro reunion.
The pub and hotel were really excellent.Warm, clean, welcoming with great real ale..Marstons pedigree and Jennings lakeland ale and breakspear.
We ate in the restaurant both evenings and the food was first class with plenty of choice and a specials board
Sandra..the landlady is a star and made areal effort to look after us..nothing too much trouble
Highlight..the chefs homemade blackpudding..INCREDIBLE
THANK YOU

Stayed for 2 nights, from 23/09/2011, while we visted the Masham Sheep Fair and the Wensleydale Railway.
The stay could not be faulted. Food, beer, wine and hospitality were suburb, and the accommadation was great. Our dog sat with us near the fire and exchanged sniffs with the locals dogs as they brought their owners into the pub for a drink. So relaxing. There seems to be lots of good walking from the pub. A great base to visit the area.

Felt very welcome, the food and bar had something for everyone. The room was perfect and it was SO quiet!!! The only downside - we were only there for one night.
