Maybe tiring but worth the wet shoes and aches! The view from the biking route and the via ferrata is awesome. And of course. The trolltunga itself. Gazing forth at the lake. You can get your own photo... and the queue isn't too long! The guides were very professional and helpful. Just have your own transport . Taxi cost a bomb

We were a group of 7 ladies who wanted to hike Trolltunga before the larger crowds of the summer. We read up and knew the hike would take 8-10 hours in the summer and figured it would be longer with most of the route covered in snow using snow shoes. Our entire group for the day was about 28 so there were lots of different people from all over the world. The ladies in my group aged from mid-30s to mid-40s and we all made it, some slower than others but we all managed to make the 22km (13+ miles) round trip. It is exhausting both mentally and physically but what an experience it was. The views were amazing all along the route. The guides were very friendly and encouraging throughout the journey. They always had our safety in mind along with others who were not in our group. I was so impressed with our guides they really knew the route and even pointed out some of the glaciers and other information about the area. They also made sure we had enough breaks to drink and eat to maintain our energy levels, it took one group 10h30m and the other group 11h20m, (remember we did most of this hike in snow shoes and a strong wind). Would i recommend this group as a guides…ABSOLUTELY, they made it fun and enjoyable even after 10+ hours hiking.
I would make sure you read what supplies are recommended for the hike and bring those items. There were several people ill-prepared for the hike and it showed. I had everything on my list and I was comfortable from start to finish. Make sure you have food and drinks to last the entire time you are on your hike, it is essential: no food or drink= no energy.
If you are scared of heights it really isn't a problem until you get to Trolltunga itself…it really is a beautiful hike even when everything is covered in snow.
This hike will always be special to me as I created a special bond with a few friends that we will share forever.

We had a wonderful hike to Trolltunga climbing "Himmelstigen Via Ferrata". This trip incorporates cycling, hiking and rock climbing. The price of NOK 1050 includes bike and- harness equipment rental, -and our guide was very positive and did a great job! The total trip lasted about 11hrs, but the hike time largely depends on your group and weather conditions (we were 8 people in our group).

Climbing experience is not needed, but it's a tough and rewarding hike so you should be in good shape. Additionally I suggest you have some experience walking in the mountains. Good shoes is a must, but fear of hights certainly isn't! This is probably the best way to experience Trolltunga and the view going up/down is incredible!

My legs hurted for a few days but absolutely worth it!

This is the best way to see Trolltunga.
Hike or bike along the lake then up the via ferrata.
We were not able to come back down the same way because of the weather conditions but climbing the via ferrata was unforgettable.
The guides from Trolltunga Active were extremely helpful and even though we had some very tricky weather condiditons to deal with we felt very safe.

We always want to visit Trolltunga but were a little bit fretful about the long hike to it. Opplev Odda's Himmelstigen to Trolltunga tour offered an option to go there using the via ferrata. The hike became much shorter and enjoyable.

We don't have experience in riding bicycle on unpaved road which caused us to have difficulties coping with the first part of the tour. However, climbing the via ferrata was interesting and enjoyable.

We finally managed to get to the Trolltunga at 3:30 p.m. and back to the tourist office at 11:00 p.m. The view at Trolltunga was breathtaking and the experience was unforgettable. Jostein and Teo have been patient and taken good care of our group.
Highly recommended.
