Where to start? Entrance is through a pool hall lit by video games. The whole building stinks of cigarettes and beer. Our minimally furnished room was on the third floor; of course there was no lift or help with luggage. Quality of the hotel is more like a Motel 3 than a Motel 6: grimy carpets, battered plywood 1950s furniture, no services.
The only ventilation in our room was one small window, so we had to choose between air and privacy. The bathroom lacked a shower curtain, plug for the basin, and hair dryer. Wires stuck out from the plaster. The overhead light was so dim as to be useless, and the only other lights were small angle lamps over the twin beds.
Unless you are an extremely heavy sleeper, stay somewhere else; trains screech to a stop directly across the street at 5-minute intervals, and heavy trucks load and unload at unpredictable hours.More
