We went for 4 weeks, mid Jan to mid Feb this year.
The dogs which were a pain with their night time howling last year have been 'eradicated'.
Dog curry is very tasty.
Tanisha is as good as always thanks to Richard and his 'family'.
The village is fast becoming a tip though thanks to the idiot mayor who fenced off Piggy Corner opposite the church.
This was the place where the locals could dump their food waste and the pigs and cows would eat it.
There are no dustbin collections in Bogmalo.
So now the locals fly tip along the roadsides.
We will be back to Tanisha for Xmas with our daughter and her family. Hopefully more Brits/Europeans will use Tanisha.

We stayed 5 nights at Tanisha Guest house with our 2 year old toddler and 2 family friends. Richard gave us a suite with one bedroom and hall with sofa cum bed.
I must say the location of the guest house is perfect for people who are looking for some peaceful stay near the beach, away from the hustle bustle of city. Bogmalo beach is at 10 min walking distance. Our host Richard is a wonderful host,he took care of everything we needed ,did all arrangements for cooking for our toddler.
The cook,Raj makes the best food in world and its not very expensive also. Sameer took care of all the housekeeping jobs very well.Rooms were very clean and spacious.Richard also arranged a sight seeing taxi with chauffeur at very reasonable price for us .We enjoyed our stay very much and our toddler was very busy playing around the property and with their pet dogs.We loved doing morning and evening beach walk everyday amidst all the greenery.I highly recommend Tanisha guest house.

This place offered us the 'BEST'. Be it rooms, or food, or hospitality. Very clean and spacious rooms. Room service was excellent. Richard(co-owner) arranged Innova for us which was very reasonable as compared to others. How can i forget to mention about food served here. Masala Prawns Fry and Rawa fry Pompret were so so tasty. Each and every dish had its unique taste and it was finger licking delicious.

we had a first floor room on one end of the building. Our space included 2 balconies one with rocking chairs, a living room with balcony, bedroom with balcony and a shower room.Raj and his wife Bupa and their 2 children lived in the house and looked after us for the first week , the second week Sam arrived and shared the domestic duties. The guys did the cooking and Bupa the cleaning. Bupa kept the place spotless and changed sheets and towels every few days. The food was simple but excellent, breakfast and supper served on the balcony was very civilised. the evening menu was good. The village is small and nestles below the plateau that the airport is on.There was a little bit of noise from the indian airforce jets but to a real problem. the only issue was the noise on a couple of nights from the stray dogs, the dog catchers were on the case though and we only suffered two nights with dogs barking.
Lunch in one or other of the beach bars was good and cheap. It is just a shame that there is one stretch of the road on the way from the bottom of the hill into the village to Tanisha that is used as a rubbish tip. If it was the UK the area would be protected as an area of scientific interest with all the wild life there is there. vanish has a roof top which would make an excellent place for sunbathing but it needs some work and some sun loungers. we spent ten blissful days in Bogmalo.

We stayed here Feb 2016. Small guest house with 6 rooms. We were picked up from the airport which is only about 15 mins away. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is cooked by Raj and served by Sami. Hospitality couldn't have been better. Nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are cleaned daily.
Pleasant walk to the beach, takes about 10 mins. Quite a few bars and restaurants in the beach area. Only downside is that there are no sun beds unless you pay 400 per day to the local bar.
Would definitely recommend this place.
