nothing to fancy about this place
only you can see mouth of saraswati river and "vyas pothi"
There is a Tea shop named "India's Last Tea Shop" which is much better attraction there.
It is nearby badrinath temple and good sneakout from there for a couple of hours.
The story goes that the mighty Bhim created this bridge by placing a huge boulder across the river saraswathi to enable his brothers and wife to cross over.
This spot is right on the Saraswati river (close to the origin), an huge boulder is sitting across the gouge with rapid waters of Saraswati river flowing under these rocks. An amazing scene. To reach this spot is little hard as it is around 2 kms away from the normal spot with little hiking uphill.
The place is very interesting because the size of the rock which acts as bridge is huge... IT is quite difficult to do it with the help of modern techonogies... you can see the block being cut from the mountains above and created as a bridge... I think no humans can do it..!! It is really one of the amazing place to see only if you know mythology... If not the place is just rock and stone...
Bheem Pul is beyond the village of Mana quite near to Badrinath. It is said to have been the handiwork of the Pandava brother Bhima who cleared a way thus for the River Saraswati to flow under it. It is wonderful seeing the place, standing there in the cold and revelling in the beauty of nature and of the place itself.
I had hired a pithu (suraj 08126071639) to take me to that whole walk to bheem pul, ved vyas gufa and ganpatiji temple. Its about a km of walk from down the manna village which is the last village of indian, one cannot take any vehicle beyond certain point so no other way but to walk or pithu :) you have to climb lot of steps I could have not even dreamed to visit these places because of my disabilities. thanks to this pithu who took me on his back very safely. it is quite tiring to sit in that basket but hats off to suraj who was strong enough to carry my weight for this long walk. bheem pul not much to see but river flowing through these rocks but gives you such a fresh feeling. its not what you see in these places but how you feel with what thought you go.
