Stayed 3 nights on our honeymoon trip around the South Island, Great sized rooms and with everything you need, lovely breakfast and the vegetarian restaurant was great for dinner.

Super close to all the activities.

I've stayed at this lodge for four days. Had a wonderful time. Rooms are very spaceous and comfortable, all the privacy in the world on the private balcony. Staff is very friendly and the area is stunning. Peace and tranquillity everywhere. Restaurant for dinner is also agreable.
Only complaint is about the breakfast, this is quite poor. Just a continental breakfast, but then without meat and eggs. No fresh bread or fresh juices. No real coffee. A missed opportunity. By all means, charge me for breakfast, but I would very much like to have a decent breakfast.
Nevertheless: this is 5 stars alltogether!

Fabulous tucked away location ,very private units with great views over estuary and then beach. Close to walking and biking tracks
Units very roomy and comfortable- great deck with awning and table and chairs.
Beautiful vegetarian meals and good variety for buffet breakfast.
Pool and spas clean and in good order and the massage we had was great.
Lived up to all expectations and can highly recommend Kimi Ora!

Room Tip: units 14 or 15 have great location.

We had a lovely 2-night stay at the Kimi Ora resort. We especially enjoyed dining at the restaurant, which features a delicious locally-sourced vegetarian menu. The pool & spa facilities are excellent. Our cabin was comfortable and private with a nice hot shower. The staff was extremely helpful in providing tips for the rest of our trip. Excellent eco-friendly option in Kaiteriteri with a nice view of the beach and town.

Arriving at Kimi Ora, there is an air of calm. The lady at the reception was pleasant and we were able to check in early. There is a wide variety of things to do bush walks , direct path to beach, glow worms, spa. Swimming complex with indoor/ outdoor pool and hot tubs, table tennis and a pool table. Bikes available for hire . The swimming pool complex is lovely, although many of the jets in the indoor hot tub weren't working well.
Our unit was also clean inside ( covered with cob webs on the outside ) the view was stunning. Bed was comfortable and all was beautifully presented on arrival. Slightly disappointed in the dispenser system in the shower which made it feel less personal for a luxury spa hotel. Shower was great though.

The restaurant is only vegetarian and because we weren't intending to eat there in the evening, I didn't know this before arrival.

If one of the highlights of your stay or a treat when you are away is a good wholesome traditional cooked breakfast to last the day until tea, then this is not the place for you. We were disappointed in the selection offered. All was of good quality but lacked imagination and really was what I would have expected from a run of the mill motel. Coffee/ tea, cereals, toast ( very nice breads ) croissant ( no other selection of pastries) and cheese either block or Brie only selection. I appreciated it is advertised as complimentary and vegetarian but there could have been eggs benedict with spinach or omelettes etc. It wasn't an impressive continental selection. Lovely views from the restaurant too.
