A tropical paradise set in the hillside above Karon Beach.

We booked a Pool Access room & from the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty.

Our arrival was around 10pm, a cool refreshing drink and cool cloth whilst we checked in was wonderful & much welcomed.

Our room was stunning (6120) and located at the Coconut Pool.

The resort is on a hillside that provides the privacy & relaxation, but as you might expect, there are stairs. The hotel has shuttle tuk tuks that you call call upon to transport you around the resort, we found the drivers to be so lovely, always arrived within a few minutes & after a day or so knew exactly which room we stayed in.

The breakfast service was spectacular, yes the noodle soup & egg stations got busy, however as they cooked to order (scrambled, boiled, poached, fried or an omelette cooked with whatever filling you wanted) it’s hardly surprising. Similarly with the noodle station, you had the choice of noodles & meat for your broth & it was all freshly prepared for you.

Fresh fruit, cereal, toast, pastries, freshly made pancakes, waffles, curries, veggie & tofu options too..,

Our coffee cups were never empty, the service, always given with a smile & we were always made to feel welcome.

We dined at both restaurants & the food was delicious, the presentation, service & taste second to none.

Our room was attended to by housekeeping every day (make sure to change the little sign outside your front door!) and was so efficient. Towels for the beach are provided, and if you wanted a few more, just ask.

We used the free shuttle to & from Karon, the times are on the little info leaflet given at check in, and again the drivers were fantastic, always with a smile & knew exactly which room we were staying in.

All in all, we spent two wonderful weeks here, and can’t wait to return.

Thank you to our Mandarava family, you made us feel like part of your own.

Maureen & Ian

We stayed 8 nights at Mandarava Resort and I have to say our stay was amazing. We stayed in the Horizon Grand Deluxe Room which was very spacious, had two sides of balcony opening and a bath as well as a shower. We had a lovely view of the Mango pool and nice scenic gardens. We used the Mango pool which was great, had a in-pool bar and seating for drinks. Within the room, many amenities where provided for our ease ie. gowns, slippers, hairdryer, safe, umbrella etc. The continental breakfast at the Chom Talay restaurant had a good variety of different foods and was very nice. This was located quite near to our room location. The house-keeping was very good and what we really appreciated was that if our do not disturb sign was still on, no-one would disturb us in order to do the house-keeping. The staff at the resort were very helpful and friendly. If anything was needed, it was given promptly on request. The resort provided a 24/7 drive service to rooms as some can be far or a bit of a walk. We certainly appreciated this after touring around Phuket. The resort also provided a bike rental service through a company which we had for the duration of our stay, this was very handy, convenient and value for money. Overall we absolutely loved our stay at Mandarava and would definitely recommend it to others. Thankyou for looking after us, much appreciated.

We stayed here for just under a week in October 2018. It is an amazing location with impressive landscaping we loved the way the rooms are dotted around the hillside with views out to sea. The pools are amazing, 5 in total with inventive layouts and swim up bars in some.

We had a panoramic dexlue room which had full length windows on two sides looking over a pool. It was a great size and well decorated.

The staff were all very friendly and welcoming and mostly spoke excellent English.

Breakfast had a wide selection although occasionally they struggled to keep up with demand. Charm Thai was very good with great food.

The only thing that spoiled it for us was the stray dogs that sometimes invade at night. We hardly got any sleep on the last two nights due to howling and barking so we left exhausted, disappointed the staff didn't seem interested in doing anything about it. Other than that the resort would be perfect!

Dear Khun bigandos,

Thank you for your comments shared after a holidays. Terribly sorry for an inconvenience caused, however nice to read you enjoyed the overall holidays except a disturbance from dogs in the area. We actually tried very hard and asking a co-operation from the local public health center to catch, control their populations but it is seem not really success.

Once again, thank you for your patience and do hope to get a chance to serve you again on your next holidays trip back to Phuket.

We had just had a very busy week visiting Bangkok and chiang mai and spent the last week winding down at this hotel in Phuket. I say winding down we still had lots of days out visiting the big Buddha and phi phi etc. However, we had days by the pool which was lovely and at the beach which the hotel does free transfer to and from. The room was lovely and clean, small attention to detail, the mini bar needed a bit of dusting and a wipe where sticky drinks have sat. Make sure the wipe the information cards in the room. Apart from this we were driven to our room and our very heavy bags were carried down the steps. Great effort to the small man carrying them, he is definitely stronger than he looks and refused any help and got the tip he deserved! Breakfast was nice, although I think we may have gotten ill from the sausages which looked slightly undercooked which ruined our last couple of days as we couldn’t be too far from a toilet!! Although, it could have really been anything. The resort complex is very hilly and it was quite exhausting walking to and from breakfast and the pool etc. It may not be the right place for those with restricted mobility and or struggle to walk far. We stayed during Thai new year and the entertainment was great although, we were told wine wasn’t included and made to feel quite embarrassed as we paid a price for a buffet and wine was left on a table which others were helping themselves to but it seemed this was only for certain guests.. all in all a lovely place to stay. I would say that assistance on checkout would be good as pulling our luggage up those hills and carrying them down the many steps to reception was ridiculous! It was a tiring and early start as It was. Staff just watched and offered no help. If they collected us from our room in the little cart things as they do when you arrive, that would have been great!

We have just spent 10 nights at Mandarava Resort and I can honestly say our expectations were definitely exceeded.
From check in where you’re sat with a cold drink and cold towel while you wait, to being driven to your room and your bags carried for you so you don’t have to do it! The rooms are beautiful and comfortable and have everything you need. The staff are amazingly friendly and so helpful, nothing is too much, The food is awesome and the drinks are even better . The Resort is just beautiful, gardens everywhere and all so well taken care of, There are always staff cleaning and gardening.
We have already booked to return to Mandarava Resort in 2019 and cannot wait! If you want relaxation, comfort, amazing service and just an all round beautiful place to stay, You must check out Mandarava Resort and Spa!!
Thankyou to all the team at Mandarava and see you again soon
