If you want Peace and quite this is the hotel for you. We had all inclusive and recommend that for all. Good Food and drinks. Not many shops or restaurants but you can rent a car and drive South. But on the other hand if you have all inclusive you do not need to stress around finding other Places to eat. We had a suite. Great room but the bed was a bit hard. We are coming back :-)

Room Tip: Check their web-site. There are to "hotels" on the site - one with sea-view.

Spent 12 days here with my girl friend in the Romantic Suites part of the hotel. The good parts were the restaurant, generally a decent choice of food each evening although some of the themed meals were a little unimaginative e.g. the Tiffanys Breakfast (couldn't figure out what was different aside from a Strawberry smoothie).

The pool was also pretty nice and very refreshing after being in the sun for a while. The jacuzzis had some problems however two of them that we tried the controls no longer worked. The beach area was also really nice to walk along or jog but earlier in the morning as it gets too hot during the day.

Bad bits were that the animation program seemed to be based solely in the other section of the hotel so the rest of us were ignored. The bathroom construction was a little bit odd, having only a single door so either close the bathroom or the room with the toilet in it.

We also booked the lovers and wellness packages but I'm not sure it was worth the extra money. Chocolate fountain + dodgy sparkling wine and semi free access to the Spa.

Good WiFi signal in the main part of the hotel but pretty variable in the Suites section.

Oh... where do I start?

The staff was excellent! Over all very good service even if some in the staff seemed uninterested when performing the job.

The food... oh, the food. Not good. Not good at all. It was mostly tasteless and uninspired. And the desserts where mostly chocolate-based, which is good if you like chocolate, but if you're like me and not too fond of it then you're out of luck.

We stayed in the R2 Romantic Fantasia Suites and the rooms where great, although it was a bit strange to have a glass wall between the bathroom and the bedroom. But the bed. Oh, the bed. It was so hard it was almost like sleeping on concrete. It's difficult relaxing when the bed is so hard.

Be aware that R2 Romantic Fantasia Suites isn't in the main building but in about 200m from the main building. There is a pool there and six jacuzzis and a pool bar there, but for breakfast, lunch and dinner you have to go to the main building. For us it wasn't a chore, but.

Don't know about the wifi in the lobby/reception, but the one that was in our room was a joke. A lot of time it got disconnected for no apparent reason and even if we had coverage pages either took long time to load or didn't load at all a lot of the time...

Room tips: If you stay at rooms 601-606 you're very near the entrance/exit to the separate area and people will walk past almost all the time.

We stayed here the whole family for a week in february. This was our first all-inclusive experience and we all agree that we are not an all-inclusive kind of family, we like to explore different food when we travel. The review is probably tainted by this fact :)

The romantic suites are located behind the main hotel building and there is a 200 m walk everytime you need anything but drinks and snacks. For us it was a nice leg stretcher. The suites are gated so there is no one but guests inside the area. The romantic suites area has jacuzzis that were not too frequented so you could always get space in one, a sauna that almost no one used and a pool bar. The pool bar staff was always smiling and friendly, they serve small snacks and a dozen kinds of free drinks plus local beer and wine. Overall the romantic suites area is super calm, well maintained and quiet, really good if you just want to stay in your sunbed and read with a drink in your hand. We really liked it there.

The bungalow was clean and fresh and impeccably cleaned every day. The layout is a bit strange, there is a big glass window directly from the bedroom to the shower. This may be nice if you are a tight knit couple but gets a bit annoying since you cannot even turn on the light when going to the bathroom at night without the bedroom getting fully lit up. The door to the toilet is also a glass door which in our room could not be closed so no privacy there either. Make sure you pull all the curtains when you shower otherwise you will be on display, either directly or through the bathroom mirror :) Beds are very hard and there was no heating so bring something warm to sleep in if you go there wintertime. But the overall impression of the bungalow is still very positive despite the strange layout.

The food in the dining hall is OK for being a buffet. Cooks are on duty to cook one kind of fish and meat/poultry a la minute for lunch and dinner as well as eggs and bacon for breakfast. As stated before, we are not all-inclusive buffet people so we got a bit bored after a week. Fresh fruit and fresh vegetables is always available so I guess you can always find something to eat though.

Taralejo in itself has almost nothing except the hotel, there is a supermarket and a couple of smaller restaurants so this is a place you go when you want to stay in your sunbed and drink free booze. Local buses are available a couple of hundred of meters from the hotel.

All in all we had a good experience and if it wasn't for the all-inclusive thing we would not hesitate to go back.

Room Tip: Bungalows 625 to 638 have more space in front of them, the other ones are built very close together and it feels a bit cramped when you sit on your own veranda. It was nice though when windy, our veranda was calm.
