My husband and I stayed at La Maisonette during the 1st week of July and found the cottage and surrounding area magical. Who doesn't want to walk out of your front door and be awed by the sight of a medieval castle? Or have breakfast every morning on a terrace in view of the Dordogne River? The owner was very easy to work with and Elly, the manager, was so very helpful and charming. Thanks for the wonderful memories!

A step back in time with a modern touch. A renovated cottage that is tastefully done. Everything is updated and you can cook with ease if you want to. We stayed there a week and fully enjoyed the atmosphere, ambiance and amenities. We would highly recommend this rental for adults. It's a wonderful experience if you have a sense of adventure. If you want modern amenities next to a 12th century castle, this place is for you. The nearby restaurants are great and there is a lot to see. But, you have to want to hump it up a lot of cobblestone hills to get around the town, including getting your luggage to the cottage. It's not for the uninitiated but really a gem that we will remember forever.
