“Lovely peaceful location!”
Reviewed 3 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

Stayed here as a party of 9 (3 families and 2 dogs) at the end of August 2013, wonderful location - so quiet and peaceful and a stones throw away from Loch Migdale. The accomodation did not disappoint, it was spacious and bright, the large conservatory ended up as the most occupied as it was so lovely sitting there in the morning and evening. The bedrooms were large and clean and our bed was fantastic, all linen/towels supplied. The owners had thought of everything, the kitchen was really well equipped and there were games, books and even an owl caller and a bat detector!
My only critisms would be the leaking kitchen tap, we reported this to the owner and the plumber came out to look at the job but this wasnt completed before we left, hopefully this will get sorted out soon. Also the outside area could have been more visitor friendly, it would have been nice to sit outside on a patio as the weather was gorgeous and it would have been nice for the garden to have been levelled to allow games to be played with the children.
All in all a great place to stay with friends/family - we loved it!

“A delightful holiday in a beautifully renovated mill.”
Reviewed 7 April 2013 for a stay in April 2013

We enjoyed a wonderful week at Migdale Water Mill. The owners have thought of everything and the quality of the renovation was excellent! The Mill was well situated for day trips around Sutherland but we were always delighted to head back to the cosy Mill which was big enough for our family to spread out if needed and then congregate in the conservatory for dinner. Well worth a visit!

“A Peaceful Retreat and a Stunning Property”
Reviewed 1 October 2012 for a stay in September 2012

The Water Mill was one of the highlights of our trip through Scotland. It was so quiet and comfortable it was hard to get out teenage crew out to enjoy the surrounding area. The design and decor are truly first class. The walking and hiking around Loch Migdale are gorgeous. The 9 hour golf course is stunning and well worth a round - leave your fees in the honesty box and tee off! Easy access to sites north of Inverness including Dornoch and Dun Robin Castle, and Glenmorangie distillery outside Tain. Wish we could have stayed a full week. Thanks Dimity!
