We recently stayed in nearby Morrona and our villa hosts recommended Il Morso. Although the pictures on trip advisor don't make it look like much, I can't recommend this restaurant enough! We went three times during our week stay, it was that good! We were lucky enough that the weather was good enough to eat outside each night and the terrace has the most beautiful views of the surrounding countryside which was what made this restaurant really special for me!
The staff were very helpful and patient with our terrible attempts at Italian and spoke very good English.
We tried the bruschetta, various pizzas (including the pear, walnut, pecorino and Gorgonzola one which I thoroughly recommend) and most of the desserts on the menu - the tiramisu is definitely the best! The house wine could be ordered by 1/4 - 1 litre, with a quarter of a litre costing 2-3 Euros! All in all our three course meal for two with wine ended up costing £25-30 euros each time which was a bargain!
This restaurant is basic, with plastic garden chairs and tables, but should not be underestimated as the food and views and delicious and the value is undeniable!
