Booked Ewcub Barn for two weeks over Christmas . Beautiful location as we have family that live close by . It was lovely and clean and had everything we , home from home . The family that run it are so friendly and couldn't do enough for us . We wanted to stay an extra two night and they were able to acocomodate us in the one next door which was equally as comfortable . I will definatly book again .
Delightful accommodation, just as described. Very comfortable beds and the fully electric kitchen was well fitted. The family running the farm were very helpful, but there were one or two minor issues. The day before leaving the owner spoke to us and asked that we leave the next morning promptly. He didn't ask if we enjoyed our stay or if there were a7ny ssues. Had he done so I would have mentioned the very low water pressure, both hot and cold ( the power shower was great though ). The fact that the tv was not hd and that whilst widely available and relatively fast ( 9mb measured ) we couldn't cast catch up tv from our tab to our Chromecast plugged into their tv.. That there were no hairdryers provided and that we had to ask for towels for our guests in the second room, only used later in our week.
Overall though an enjoyable stay.
Booked this essentially to visit the RIAT airshow, but for a week so we could enjoy the Cotswolds. Located on a farm with other holiday cottages, there is plenty of parking and open space, as well as horses, chickens, and three little dogs.
The cottage looks newly converted/refurbished, and is beautifully clean inside. It has a welcome pack of tea & coffee etc which kept us going until our Tesco delivery arrived!
The owner keeps chickens and sells eggs for breakfast etc which were lovely.
The cottage is well located for all of the Cotswolds, nothing was more than half an hour away.
Beds were comfy but sadly the pillows were awful - I would recommend these are replaced with some pillows which give some support. If you are visiting, take your own.
We had a cot supplied for our toddler - we were advised to bring her bedding but were not told there was no mattress.... this meant we ended up using her duvet as a mattress and just a blanket to cover her. Fortunately it was summer so this was OK, but other guests should be aware of this.
I would also point out the floors are not 100% even - the rooms all have lips between flooring which my toddler regularly fell over. Even us adults tripped from time to time.
Bedding and flooring aside, this was a fabulous cottage and we are considering booking again for RIAT next year. Would definitely recommend it.
(Have some photos to add but can't work out how, sorry!)
Minster Lovell is in prime position to visit the cotswolds especially the nearby towns of Burford, Witney and the surrounding beautiful Cotswold Towns and villages and their attractions. The cottage is imaculate, and you have everything you need. The owner is friendly and everything is nicely prepared for your arrival.
I have throughout the years been to other cottages in this area and I have to say that this was by far the best one ! We shall definitely return.
