We popped in to the Coach and Horses for lunch on our way to our Hotel for New Year, we managed to find a table by a lovely log fire, we selected from their 'light bites' menu and the food was lovely the staff were friendly

Good size rooms situated in the old, thatched roof fire station! Alongside the pub building. Room was clean, bed sizeable and comfortable. Facilities matched those usually expected. Prices were reasonable and we will certainly be back.

Was staying in a hotel up the road & wanted somewhere to eat (hotel prices were a bit on the high side), found this place, great little pub that does good food, staff were excellent nothing was too much trouble, there was a really good selection of burgers so had one of them, very good although side salad on that & my crab cake starter needed a dressing it was just too dry. other than that meal & service was great, the place also has a bit of history & there is a thatched building in the car park which was apparently the only thatched fire station in England. Also had TV with sports channels and a dartboard, if I lived locally would be here more often. Worth a visit.

Room Tip: Didnt stay in hotel jsut ate in pub

This is a pub with rooms. We were very disappointed with the breakfast which was taken in the room.Very basic food left out the day before, so croissants on plate covered in cling film hardly fresh. No cooked breakfast until 10 am when chef started. One of us sat at the dressing table for breakfast and the other at the small round table. Tv minute. Just about same size as my computer monitor. Bed fairly comfortable.room size good but careless cleaning dust etc let's it down.Would not return.

We went for dinner and had a very lovely evening. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The owner kindly drove us back to our hotel as taxis would be expensive and it was too dark to walk back, which was so kind! Would definitely recommend this pub.
