For a tea room attached to the museum it’s got to up its game! Museum and tour of cottage attracts lots of people and is sooo interesting. We called in for tea and snack but where informed there was a wait of 20mins for toasted tea cake etc! The cafe was not full by any means and the girls behind counter (2 of them) where very pleasant but obviously needed more help! Another member of staff would have made all the difference.Very quiet and lacking in atmosphere why not have some themed music? Can’t comment on food as we only had scone and jam very unremarkable. Pot of tea was very good though....you even get jug of hot water.
