My husband and I have just returned from an overnight stay at Leverhulme hotel to celebrate our second anniversary and it did not disappoint! Sherry and her team are amazing!

We had the dream and dine package and enjoyed a delicious dinner sat by an open fire.
Our room was upgraded to a suite as we were celebrating our anniversary (the jacuzzi bath is amazing!)

We personally feel like part of the Leverhulme family when we come here and have celebrated many events here at Leverhulme. We will continue to return to this local gem.

Thank you all again for a fantastic stay. We will be back x

We went to this hotel for a charity function and was met by a friendly staff at the front door. She opened the door and welcomed us in. However, I couldn’t believe how young she was and that she had a pair of trainers on !!

The place is nice and the evening went well. There were several things I was very disappointed with. The bar was insufficiently staffed, had to queue for ages to get served and when I did, I couldn’t believe the prices of the drinks!! £3 for a glass of coke !!!

The food was poor, we had pate for starters but it only came with a tiny piece of Melba toast, then followed by chicken in a cream sauce with vegetables and then something that was meant to be Eaton Mess. It was a mess alright !! We had a dollop of double cream in the middle of a plate with a small spot of chocolate sauce and jam. There was hardly any meringue and each plate on our table looked totally different. When we complained to the staff, they didn’t want to know and we got no feedback.

Overall very disappointed with our visit and certainly would think twice about going back again. Would not recommend to anyone and definitely not a four star hotel.

We had a great time, nothing was too much trouble. We had afternoon tea, the staff filled our roof top Jacuzzi up. We attended a black tie ball, it was well organised. The breakfast was lovely and we will be returning.

I recently attended a family members' wedding at this hotel and was shocked at the disorganised and amateurish quality of service. The servers were mainly young kids with obviously not much experience. Drinks were extortionately priced and what was purported to be Coca Cola was clearly not but a much cheaper brand...card machine out of order and customers were asked to leave their cards behind the bar. 'Dinner' no choice just semi raw pork (blood clearly visible...this a danger as anyone especially a chef should know ) was served in tiny slivers onto small side plates...no vegetables except deep fried tasting roast potatoes and supermarket quality coleslaw, potato salad and pasta salad. Canapes tasted and looked suspiciously similar to supermarket ready made....corners appear to have been cut everywhere. Chairs in outside area were filthy and cigarette ends were all over the gardens. Gazebo rusting and unsafe looking and one of our party almost fell down a large unprotected gap in the decking. How this hotel has maintained any kind of four star reputation is beyond me on the evidence of this one star service.

We went to a family wedding, things went from bad to worse, poorly cooked and presented food (pork still uncooked in joint) surly staff, over the odds for drinks in terms of cost, bar shut upon arrival, staff to busy to smile or communicate, dangerous decking area, all in all a very poor experience and one We won't repeat.
If you are a young couple looking for a wedding venue stop and think twice and don't be taken in by the grounds etc, it looks full of promise but does NOT deliver!!
