I took my adult children, their partners, offspring and our three dogs for a week in the country. Parc y Gors was a large, welcoming residence with fabulous grounds and its own small wooded area. It was a well equipped, warm and comforting base when the rains came, as they often do in West Wales!
Location was good too. Secluded, but not remote. Lots of lovely beaches to visit and not too far from holiday type attractions, if liked.
A memorable house that we all loved.

“A great house to holiday with your family in.”

I booked Parc Y Gors in April 2013 for a fortnight. We knew the area very well and loved it but we had not stayed at this particular house before. It is a traditional but rather grand Welsh farm house with comfortable rooms and an Aga in the kitchen/ breakfast room. It had a beautiful garden with a croquet lawn and magnificent drive with vast beech and oak trees leading to the house which was stone painted white, surrounded by daffodils and primroses. There is tons to do without going anywhere but we did have a day out from Cardigan on a boat looking at the seals. The children adored that. I would undoubtedly recommend it and would like to go again. Trouble is, it's a bit far from where I live now: in the middle of France.
