“And Don't Forget the Cabins!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 February 2012

BYOB to this excellent, homey restaurant in the evenings. If you have breakfast, or have an opportunity to stop by during the day, you may see Quetzals or other fine birds (like the Acorn Woodpecker) off the back deck. Let it be known here, also, that Miriam and her daughter and son-in-law also help manage some little cabins down the road, which are great value and perfectly charming. We stayed in one for two nights and had fantastic views down the valley.

“Cozy authentic meal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 February 2012

We ate one dinner and lunch at Miriam's and had a great experience both times. Miriam is so friendly. Here restaurant is very cute and cozy with a little woodstove in the corner. She offers a couple different meat options and serves it with a salad, beans, rice, locally grown vegtables, cornbread, blackberry juice and coffee or hot chocolate. I have no idea what the meal cost, but we gave her a $20 bill for the 2 of us and she went to get change. We insisted that she not bring us change and keep the difference and she was so overly grateful. Overall a great meal, great setting and great price!
