Maybe you can arrange for skipping the night in Andong.
If not, Park Hotel (actually without a park) is the place to be. It has local folklore represented in its bed rooms.

Its clean and has good water pressure and warm water per se.

Folks are friendly but no English spoken.

Recommend you go for famous Andong Stir Chicken, take back entrance of hotel and then 100 m to the right. Very yummy.

Andong Park Hotel.

Very good hotel in downtown of Andong. Old but very clean and tidy. It is only 498 meters from Traditional Village and Downtown of Andong city. They know how to understand toutist.

You can see beautiful Byeongsan confusion academy and Hahoe village.

Large clean room, and good value for money. Two minutes walk from the Andong train station and the tourist information office. Bus stops to all the main attractions are again a two minute stroll away.

Plenty of amenities, though I did not use any. Free hot an cold water in room, and there are additional bottled water supplied daily.

Will recommend.

I gave this 4 stars only because it lacked a kitchen area and I like to have a kitchen for self-catering. Rooms also lacked microwaves. However, the room was very nice and comfortable. Very clean and drinking water machines in every room. There is also a bathtub, something not common in Asian hotels in my experience.

Location is great if you arrive or depart by train. Also, next to local bus station (but 1 hour from the intercity station by local bus). It is in the o

I got a super deal for this room. Stay here if you get a good deal. Full prices are not worth it though.

Eearily quiet when I stayed 1 night...did not see another guest and barely saw any staff but it is low season, so understandable. Limited English at reception but enough to get a key and when looking at a map before heading out, was given a handy street map marked with local places and bus info to places to visit... Same as from the tourist Info. Room was large with a spectacular remote control which controlled the AC, TV, PC and probably the underfloor heating which I couldn't find the controls for so was quite hot but easily solved with opening the window (not environmentally friendly but easier than anticipated communication problem). Wifi worked well. Supplies of toiletries in the room/ bathroom including hairspray which is novel and you can get a toothbrush and paste from reception. Easy to find. Very convenient for the train station and city centre. The bus station is about a 10 min taxi ride.
