We just happened upon dimitrios grill rooms in roda. they are about half way down the street from the main junction on the right and opposite the tearoom. the sign is all in greek.
We went in and were surrounded by friendly locals eating gyros and gently supping
Retsina. If the locals eat there it must be good!
The ladies behind the counter only spoke a little english (far more than our Greek!) but were really lovely. we had a large pork gyro which cost about 4 euros and was enormous, it tasted incredible (beware the Tsatziki it packs a punch!). my wife had a veggie gyros (everythking apart from the meat) and absolutely loved it and our little boy had two soulavlakis and an immense bowl of chips, this and three drinks came to about 13 veuros. great value and probably our best dining experience in north Corfu.
