We went to lunch with a heap of us and got great service. We all tried the taster wine which was a bargain at $10.5 for three small wine tastings, great fun. The food was really good and tasty. Will bring my family back so they can enjoy the place.

Dear Rainy0,
Great service is what I like to read in reviews. We have a great group of mainly young people who work in our cafe and I hire on attitude so that we will get great service because they are naturally motivated. Also pleased you liked the taster, this is a very popular concept and we are looking at ways to improve this even more for summer. Thank you and we look forward to you coming back with you family sometime soon.

Tony

Family reunion of 18 including children. Special table set up for the children with colouring/drawing things for them plus a great kids menu. Adults menu was equally as good. We ordered prior to arriving. Food was delivered on time. Staff were great. Lovely gift shop in the entrance and an outdoor area for the little ones to play. Will certainly go back for a wine tasting experience!

Dear Missy872013, Being a family friendly venue we try to make sure we do everything possible to make guests visits enjoyable and interesting be they young of not so young. It is also important to have menus that cover ages and tastes that suit most palates. The interest in the gift shop always surprises me and is a magnet for most ladies, pleased you liked it.

Thanks and Regards

We popped in for a lunch and luckily we were accommodated without a booking. Out this way in Kumeu/Riverhead you are always asked if you have made a booking? I think if we have made a booking we would walk in and say "We have booked". Anyway both had beer battered fish and chips which we've had before and enjoyed. This was no different except service was slow to start with after we had checked out the menu and were ready to order, waited quite a while for a waiter. We ordered a bottle of wine which did not arrive. Our food arrived and we were particularly irritated that we hadn't been served our wine yet. On looking into the café, we were on the verandah, the bar lady was working at a snails pace despite the café being busy. Our wine eventually arrived. We ordered a dessert because we still had wine to drink and I was disappointed at the minute portion of tiramisu served, considering the cost. Flavour good but texture a little too watery. Wouldn't order it again.

Dear 524CAS, Your review reminds me that we do not always hit the button with some people and for our shortfalls I apologise. I have discussed this with the staff who were on and have tidied up the proceedures that did not seem up to be up to our high standard of, service, service, service, at all times.

Thanks and Regards
