I stayed here for a conference and have to say the building and grounds are beautiful. The room is simple but clean and the shower pressure is great! The food was simple but tasty. The down side was you had three choices. If you do not eat vegetables you could be hungry. The negatives were it was 90 degrees out and there is no air conditioning or fans. When ever we would open a window in our conference room a lawn mower would start which made it impossible to hear. we were forced to close windows in a boiling hot conference room. Not the best conditions.

In addition the service was dismal. I am not sure the staff was aware it is still a hotel and we have choices. Members of our group were yelled or scowled at. We also put them out by asking for another basket of bread.

If you had a car and your visit was in the fall this maight be a great place to stay.

Sehr geehrter Gast

Not to everyones taste. But a nice hotel in converted monastery. Basic rooms but good conference hotel to get away from everything. Not often you stay in a hotel with a kloster and church. Quite remote location

We stayed here for four nights as a base for exploring the region. It is in a great position, handy for Luzern, Zug, Zurich, Mount Pilatus and Mount Titlis. Very peaceful, very clean and modern. Lovely grounds and a café that stays open until 11.

I was here on a seminar for 5 days with work on first Impressions I wasn't sure about the place the bedrooms are very basic, but I did sleep very well and the shower was fantastic. The resurant is based downstairs in a old cellar which is quite nice. Food is excellent and all home grow. Views are spectacular from the terrace and it's worth have a beer whilst sat there.
As a seminar hotel the room was a little small for our group and Aircon is needed as it does get warm .

Room tip: Try and get a room at the back of the hotel as the cow bells drive you nuts

This place is nestled amid a beautiful landscape. This automatically makes it great, with windows in the rooms looking out, you can hear the tolling of the cattle bells as you wake in the morning and as the sun goes down. The room was perfectly comfortable and clean (with an amazing shower, if that's something you care about), and the food served was delicious, Swiss standard!
There's not too much about if you're looking for somewhere to go at night, but there's lovely hiking all around, and the place itself is that serene and beautiful, I wouldn't really recommend leaving.
I went on a tour about the place and learnt some of the history of the old monastery. It is fascinating, so I rate that highly. I felt honoured to be standing in a place that has withstood so much and remained standing.
