I intended to stay here for one night and ended up staying for three. Very good regional food, even a good vegetarian set menu. good cassoulet. Chef very personable and keen to speak his (quite serviceable) English. Rooms very clean and comfortable. All quite reasonably priced.

Revel itself is a pleasant town but once you've seen the magnificent covered market (10 min) there isn't a lot to do. You can walk up to Lake St Ferreol that feeds the Canal du Midi, although the Canal museum isn't up to much, and the town is a good base from which to make side trips.

We just happened upon this restaurant because it had a free park in front.English was limited but that was ok the food was excellent we tried different set menus to try the different dishes. The Ballotine of chicken was great the duck superb the foie gras starter sublime. Kids meal great value and good quality, would recommend highly .

Clean hotel but not very friendly. Guests lounge dark and dingy and was shut up sunday night. Breakfast 'buffet' was non-existent. We were given a croissant, a piece of bread, butter and a small bowl of jam. Don't forget the cup of coffee and a clementine. 9 euros each. Hardly a buffet. We didn't bother again and made do with a biscuit and a cup of coffee from a café.

Lunch and dinner were fine and fairly priced but hotel restaurant closed sunday pm and Monday lunchtime. No fish available as the chef/patron hadn't caught any. NOT a place for vegetarians or fussy eaters
A huge dog lives in the hotel and potters into the restaurant at will or lies in the hallway.
Parking easy. Bedroom clean and reasonable size with separate loo and bathroom.

The town of Revel is boring with nothing to do. Shops closed on sunday and Monday so no other choice for breakfast.

Management response:Responded 2 September 2016

I'm surprise because there is no lounge in the hotel.
For the breackfast, there is a bread basket, a bowl of jam, butter, cheese, ham, a croissant, fruitS and a coffee pot.
Best regards

Just back from a one night stay in this very central hotel . You can park in the street outside and have a lovely meal in their restaurant . The food is very good and reasonably priced with various recommendations from well known sources on the wall outside the hotel The staff are friendly and helpful . I need gluten free food and they warned me about the various dishes containing it and provided an alternative breakfast . OUr room overlooked the street but was quiet and the extra large bed was very confortable . Just a slight leak in the radiator in the bathroom which they said they would look into the next day .

We had already stayed one night in Revel and were preparing to leave when we saw this Hotel and realised it was part of the famous Cassoulet trail, so decided to linger in Revel for another night - and we are very pleased we did so. It was difficult to find anyone at reception and when we finally did, our lack of French proved to be a problem - but we eventually worked our way through that too.
Our room was clean & comfortable with a view over the lovely rear garden below. The highlight of the stay was the cassoulet dinner, served by an attentive waiter & accompanied by some good local wine. Chef came out to speak with diners and took some time to talk to us and explain a little of the cassoulet traditions and style of local wines compared with Australian wines. A thoroughly enjoyable evening in a good hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the rear of the Hotel, overlooking the garden - a little more expensive, but a prettier outlook
