“Great value for money hotel with exceptional staff.”
Reviewed 11 September 2012 via mobile

Staff were outstanding from the beginning - friendly, organised and very good English. We left our bags at reception at lunch time and they were waiting in our room when we returned!

Very handy to the sumo (1 train stop), Akihabara (1 stop) and most other tourist parts of Tokyo a train change and 4-5 stops away.

Room was clean, modern and well-equipped, if a little small.

This hotel was great value for money. Highly recommended.

Stayed at this hotel again. It's located at the good location - Asakusa-bashi station - one stop to Akihabara, or 5min to Ueno, Asakusa.
The new landmark in Tokyo is the 'SkyTree', which is only around 4 stops (subway) from hotel. and it's so convenient.

If you have long stay, you can select the package iwth mini kitchen. hotel offers free amenities that you can select and pick at the lobby floor.

Price is really good!

To get there, simply take the train from Narita or Haneda airport. or if you take skyliner to Ueno, you can change train to get there or by taxi from Ueno station, it's around JPY1200 only.

Incredible staff! They were so helpful so friendly. Room was great in any sense, the only thing is lack of wireless lan in, you need to go to lobby or plug your laptop in the room. I think I won t make any research hotel for my next stay in Tokyo, Mystays would be my permanant hotel..

My responsibility was to find a decent, comfortable and very affordable hotel for a group of Americans who had just spent a week doing tsunami relief work. This place fit the bill. Being on a tight budget, we couldn't afford anything frilly, but I also didn't want to stay anywhere resembling a hostel.

The hotel is adjacent to the train station and within easy reach of sights such as Senso-ji Temple. There are plenty of eateries and restaurants in the area, many of them very good. The hotel itself feels quite cramped and small, but this being Tokyo, that's almost just a given. We each had our own single room, extraordinarily small by American standards, but again, pretty typical for Japan. The rooms felt clean and new, very nicely decorated in stylish, warm colors and equipped with AC, TV, and private bathrooms with deluxe multifunctional toilets (something we don't have in the States and that makes using the toilet a whole new experience!). The staff was friendly. There is a convenience store located inside the building.

Wi-Fi is only available in the tiny first-floor lobby, which was a nuisance. There are no other conveniences or extras, making the overall experience comfortable but basic.

But the best part is the price. I came expecting something grungy and hostelly, and this definitely was neither. It's an incredible value in an expensive city, but not a destination hotel.
