Thoroughly enjoyable lesson in English with Masashi. The lesson, with a practical element, was comprehensive yet not overwhelming. Gained an appreciation of the art.
All payment details and directions on how to get there clear. Easy booking. Recommended to culture vultures and budding florists alike.

I totally enjoyed today’s flower lesson given by Masashi, in a very relaxed traditional Japanese home environment. Masashi puts you at ease & serves excellent green tea & snacks. Informative & helpful instructions, he’s a friendly person who speaks extremely good English. Worth the visit! Thank you

Ikebana Teacher can speak English well, so it's very good place to learn how to arrange flower in Japanese style IKEBANA

I had the pleasure to experience and spend time with Masashi twice now. The second time I brought my girlfriend and we both loved the flower arrangement experience. He speaks perfect English and is the best example of what great hospitality means. I wish I could rate it higher than five stars. Highly recommended!

After living in Japan for a few years I finally got to experience Ikebana. It is a must if you visit Tokyo. The class was very informative and everything you need to creat your own flower arrangement is provided! I think it would be fun to bring a group to see how each person arranges the flowers differently. Also, there was some delicious tea and local sweets served after so you can enjoy the flowers with refreshments. I’m already planning my next trip back!! It’s a nice way to experience this interesting part of Japanese culture and to see inside a traditional style Japanese home.

Masashi offers Japanese-style flower arrangement lessons in English for foreigners. Note that his lessons are not called ikebana, as he prefers a combination of Japanese and Western flower arrangement principles.

A lesson typically lasts for 1.5 hours, but mine ended up slightly longer because I had a lot of questions. It starts with an explanation, which is followed by the demonstration, and then the lesson. I found the lesson quite easy to follow, so don't worry if you're a beginner. (Don't worry about things like not having any artistic sense, either; Masashi will guide you.) Afterwards there will also be some tea and dessert, as well as a tour of Masashi's traditional Japanese home.

Masashi's friendliness, hospitality, and laid-back, down-to-earth nature really made the lesson enjoyable for me. I would love to return for another lesson.
