Park Hyatt is a great and expensive hotel. It is at the top of a 3 towers building with a wonderful view on Tokyo. The entry hall at the top of the 1st tower is great and serve a free flow of tea and canapé at the afternoon for a fix price. The rooms are nice but nothing really special for the price. The swimming pool and fitness area are perfect. With the little touch that make the difference, they borrow you the swim glasses...
There are 3 restaurants, we tried the New York where was shut Last In Translation. It is not a Japanese restaurant but the food is really good, the view on Tokyo gorgeous and the deco cozy.
The breakfast is also at the level of the hotel really good.
A great but pricy experience, not sure it worthes sleeping there more than 1 night to enjoy the view. You can also go to the restaurant to enjoy it.

I enjoyed everything about this hotel from the moment of arrival. I don't know how they knew it, but I was greeted by name when I got out of the taxi. The reception desk and concierge are on the 41st floor and very, very stylish. The service was impeccable and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are fabulous and the gym and spa are second to none. Breakfast is excellent in terms of choice and quality. The New York Grill is very good with stunning views and a great jazz band the night we were there. The location is good as it has the space of Shinjuku Park nearby but is only a short walk from Shinjuku station which is the gateway to anywhere in Tokyo. It is expensive but you most definitely get what you pay for. I will go back at the first opportunity.

This hotel has appeared in numerous rankings and is often regarded as one of the top 100 hotels worldwide. Even though I was not a big fan of the room design, everything else was perfect. The staff is excellent (the concierge managed to get us last minute tickets for a sold-out baseball game) and all rooms and restaurants have spectacular views of the city. It is definitely not the cheapest hotel, but you will get good value for your money.

with all the hype I had heard- my expectations were very high. And they were matched. Yes it is outrageously expensive - BUT when you put it in context of the price of things generally in Japan- it doesn't stand out as much. The room was lovely - the views are great etc- but the BEST thing about this place are the staff. Every interaction you have with every one of the staff is outstanding. There is nothing they cannot do. I thought the service was so amazing in the bar- i specifically went out of my way to tell the management about it. Seriously good and sad that this stands out so much in ONE hotel. Don't think about the mortgage - just soak it up. a lovely experience.

Room Tip: i don't think there can be a badd room. they are all on at least the 41st floor...
